Lovely, small, old wooden church. When we first walked by…about 10 am, it was closed. Noticed about 11 am that the doors were open.
Very Scandinavian with clean lines, pure colors and little adornments. Today’s weather was just awful, so we sat in the church for about 20 minutes and enjoyed the calm.
Lovely view from the choir loft.

Beautiful church - one of the nicest in all of Iceland. Services were being held, so not able to enter the church, but still a great stop to appreciate the architect and beauty of the exterior of the building. If you love churches and/or photography, this is an absolute must see when in Husavik. Genuinely one of the best photo opportunities in a country with thousands of amazing photo opportunities.

The church is free to enter and very lovely with a matching building (probably the pastor's) across the street. We stopped for a few minutes and took some pictures. Check them out! Also, compared to dozens of other churches we saw throughout our 30-day trip around Iceland, where we started callng them "UICs" (Universal Icelandic Churches), this was is very different in design. Hence, and even further reason to check it out!

This was on our list (spreadsheet actually!) of things to see/do in Husavik. It really is a beauty on the outside. We drove around it a number of times. We were going to go in, but there was a hearse parked in front. Not wanting to be "those" tourists, we didn't peek inside :)

To Icelandic standards large church, located next to the harbour of Húsavik. You can go up to 1st floor for a nice view on the interior. Remarkable entrance door.

This is a small and photogenic church and we had a great time adoring it's wooden structure. Closed on Sunday but worth the photographs.

It's a nice little church. Husavik is a middle-size town by Icelandic standards, nice and cute. Aside from the church there are shops, restaurants and museums on the main street.

The Church in Husavik is attractive on the outside and is the key building in the town. Ste inside to an unusual wide lan though there is nothing of historic interest.

This is a landmark in Husavik, and it was enjoyable to be able to go inside and see the architecture. It's not somewhere you'd spend a lot of time, but it is a pretty place and worth stopping for a visit. It's also free to go in!

The outside is pretty. That is about it. We spent about 5 minutes inside. There is not much to see inside. The ceilings are blue.

Wie heißt der zuständige Pastor oder der Organist. Gibt es dort eine lebendige Gemeinde?
