    Beautiful! Great stop
Very very beautiful set of waterfalls! You’d never guess it just driving by, the waterfalls are in a gorge/canyon that you cannot see till you park. We were there in February and it was very icey and very cold but oh so worth it. Afterwards we had a light lunch at the cafe by the parking lot. Soup was very good!

    A beautiful place
This waterfall is neither the tallest nor the largest in Iceland, but it is a must-see! The water seems to flow directly from the rock of the volcanic plateau behind it. It is set in a landscape of incredible beauty, crossed by a rushing torrent. It is easily accessible for everyone. Not to be missed.

    A beautiful place
There are many small lava waterfalls that go to the river, the water is very blue. The trail to the children's falls was closed when I was there. The parking is free. There is a restaurant and WC near the parking lot.

    Waterfall Duo Hraunfossar and Barnafoss
This is a waterfall duo which you can check out while walking around. Will take about 20 minutes to check it all out and parking is free on site. The place is fairly popular among tourists and was on the busy side when we visited. The beauty of Barnafoss is in its overall wide span of waterfalls and Hraunfossar is on the other side which you can climb up to view.

This is a very unique waterfall and my absolute favorite in Iceland (and we saw a lot). I like it because the water is coming out in a hundred different places through the porous lava rock. Very unique and not like any waterfall I have ever seen. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a quick but scenic hike nearby, and the Hotel Husafell staff recommended these waterfalls. It didn’t disappoint! Beautiful, classic Iceland scenery, it’s free, and you can spend as much time as you want during this quarter-to-half mile loop hike. Worth the stopover!

There are so many waterfalls in Iceland that they quickly start to look the same. This one is unique, though, as it’s really a series of waterfalls created as water shoots through dozens of holes in the rock and cascades down a wide cliff, creating an effect unlike any I had seen before. It’s easily accessible from a short path and there are multiple viewpoints.

Hraunfossar (‘fossar’ being the plural waterfalls) is just next to Barnafoss & has a stunning view in winter. Stark whites, dark browns, pale icy blue waters & golden yellows in the far land paint an absolutely captivating view. Just stand there for a moment and take in the wonder of Mother Nature! Worth a 1hr pit stop with hot soup & buffet by the cafe there.

This was an unusual waterfall as the water came through the porous rocks, the water was full of minerals so was a beautiful light milky blue colour. There is a lovely short walk to the other waterfall. I particularly liked this area as there were very few tourists, just us and one family. There is a cafe nearby and toilets costing 100ISK.

This waterfall that extends along a lava front is particular and pleasant. It does not offer a spectacular view given the small drop, its peculiarity is precisely its front of a few hundred meters which winds between black lava rocks. It is surprising because there is no river on the surface that feeds the waterfall but the water flows directly from the rocks throughout its entire extension.

Wonderful experience at Hraunfossar at Husafell. We went out of our way to see this fall, and were delighted. Wished we could have spent more time--maybe an hour with a picnic lunch. This was a gentle but strong waterfall that was a much more pleasant and happy experience than, say, Dettifoss. I'd highly recommend this stop along with the "Children's Waterfall" adjacent.

Our first major waterfall in Iceland. It's cool to see multiple falls streaming off the cliffs. It'll been nice if there was a hot spa around since it was freezing when we went! The power of the fall is crazy scary needless to say.

We stayed in Husafell, close to the waterfalls. We had pretty bad weather for the first half of our stay and did not see the waterfalls. But once it stopped raining and the sun came out and went to visit and it was beautiful. Some great views and nice walking trails around the waterfalls. Also some good descriptions and history played out along the waterfalls.

A series of waterfalls all along the canyon. They are not as spectacular as some larger Icelandic falls but still worth visiting. Easy to access from the carpark and has the added bonus of Barnafossar nearby. There is also a restaurant near the site.
