Mike from Glacier adventure made our trip memorable by giving ice climbing lessons to all 4 of us and opportunity to try out the climbing ourselves. His passion, patience and commitment towards his job is beyond words. Apart from this, he took us to ice caves and explained a lot about glaciers, ice caves and associated history and science. I highly recommend taking this tour with Mike once!

Mike, our guide, was the best part of our adventure honestly! He made it more like a private tour for us (low traffic due to COVID) and also gave us a few lessons on ice climbing! A day very well spent, will definitely recommend this activity especially if you get Mike as your guide. :)

The cave was fantastic and very impressive. We had the luxury of getting a private tour. The guide was friendly and offered us to walk on the glacier after the cave.

We had the opportunity to go on a blue ice cave trip with Glacier Adventure and we can‘t speak highly enough of them. While we did not book a private tour we were the only ones on the tour - I guess that is one of the upsides of travelling during a pandemic. Our tour guide was Mike Reid. Mike is very knowledgable and has taught us so many things about glaciers in general but also about Breidamerkurjökull in particular. Mike is not only a glacier guide he is also a glacier and mountain guide instructor - so we definitely got the best experience. Mike is fun and takes incredible pictures. After the tour we have received two pictures of us in the ice cave that will definitely hang in our living room. Thanks again Mike and Haukur from Glacier Adventure!
