But we were allowed to feel the water before paying. They provide towels, dressing rooms, two outdoor showers with warm water, and several tubs of different depths. Our group of 6 adults fit perfectly in one tub. The view of the mountain and glaciers were lovely! Perfect soak after hiking for two days! Simple changing rooms, warm (natural) shower and then soak for an hour or so. Does wonders at the end of a driving day. These thermal baths are installed in a beautiful landscape, in the middle of nothing, easily accessible, near the Ring Road. You pay 2000 ISK (14,50 euros) per person. We loved this spot! Wasn’t too busy when we first arrived but it got packed rather quickly. Stayed for about an hour which was perfect. I think there are about 5-6 tubs. There are changing rooms for both men and women where you can also leave your stuff as well as washrooms and an outdoor shower. Admission fee is approx ten bucks a person ($CAD) which can be paid either cash or card.

We really loved these pools 15 minutes from Höfn. Entry costs 2000 ISK per person, and can be paid in cash directly to the entrance, or with credit card in the hotel behind the hot tubs. As a hotel guest you get free entrance!

I wouldn't call it my favourite hot water bath experience because the experience that these hot tubs offer is nowhere close to what Myvatn hot baths offer!
But I found them way better than the natural hot springs and blue lagoon simply because this area wasn't crowded and the water was clean and sufficient for 3-4 people to lie unattended for hours and hours.
It remains open till night but I left early as I had to find a place to sleep before the weather turns foggy. Anyway, the view of the surrounding hills and glacier is much better during the day time 🥰

After driving an hour and a half to see the vestrahorn we decided to stop at the Hoffell hot tubs. When we walked in it had a danger sign warning that the water may be too hot. When we walked in one tub had ice floating in it , one not filled, and 2 other tubs lukewarm. Save your time and money and do not stop here.

On the SS934 in the direction of Glacier World, you will find these round thermal baths on the left which will allow you a pleasant and relaxing refreshment. The employee provides towels for drying included in the entrance price (if you are a guest of Glacier World, entrance is free). They close at 8.00 pm

Really wonderful tubs! Very clean facilities with a change room and outdoor showers. We were lucky to be the only ones there and had a wonderful time. The tubs go from very hot to a nice warm temperature. Highly recommend

Bad experience, only 1 out of 5 of the tubs partially worked (at the entrance we were told 3 out of 5).
We were 2 adults and 2 children (8 and 10 years old).
No reduction for the 10 year old girl.

Its closed for maintenance! Does not say when it will be open again. Would of been nice for them to have an advance warning there, also got stuck in the deep snow in the car park trying to turn around, just a pre warning..saturday March 7th 2020

Totally fake advertising in the pictures. Old, a little and not warm at all. One tube didn't work and was great. The rest were lukewarm or cold. Worn tubes that were peeled off. Was very poorly maintained.
Asked at 20.00 if you could turn up the pressure, but it was max and it would get hotter later. But there they close.
They had chosen to put a toilet container and ticket sales right in front of the view of the mountains.
I'm not the type to complain. This is not fake. Sigh…

We had free access due to staying at the hotel up the road - I probably wouldn’t have paid for it though. The hot tubs do not look like the pictures. They’re very simple plastic tubs in the ground - they didn’t look the cleanest either. However if your expectations are not high then you can spend a pleasant hour or two here!

Can I access these tubs after hours? I am hoping to travel and explore overnight. I know there is an honesty box there so am hoping I can come check it out in the middle of the night! Any advice is appreciated!

Is this a good Northern light spot?
Is it far form the Fosshotel glacier?
Will it still close at 10pm even in winter?
