The Geyser geothermal area is a short walk around the geyser and some hot water pools with bubbles and sulfur dioxide gas. Its all a wonder to behold and makes volcanoes and lava real. The geyser shoots over 100 ft at times but varies from...More

I had this as a stop on my Golden Circle tour. Well worth a visit and the geysir was awesome. It goes off every 5 to 8 minutes. Some can be small just up to a few meters high but others while I was there...More

The Geysir erupts around every 10-15 minutes but have your camera ready because you won't know whether it is going to erupt a couple feet or 30 plus feet. Be prepared. Really large restaurant/shopping area across the street.

This site is just the main Geysir and some clear pools / smoking ground. It is easily covered in 30 - 40 minutes - and that’s with waiting time to see the Geysir. Entrance and parking is free and it is on the way to...More

Be early or late in the day to avoid the busloads of tourists doing the golden circle day trip. Strokkar itself is doing his thing every 10 minutes. Amazing to sea! The entire area is seen in 30 minutes.

Strokkur is a particularly active geyser that erupts every 5-10mins, and you won't get tired of watching it. With free entry, unobtrusive safety barriers and plenty of space to watch, every eruption is spectacular and gets a great reaction from the crowd.

Hi, Strokkur is the geysir. It's also close to Gullfoss Falls (10-15 min drive). We stayed at the geysir hotel which is right across the road. Hope that helps!
