You can't miss it on the hill. Illuminated by night! The interior has lovely stained glass images. Peaceful and tranquil (visited on a Monday morning).

We walked all around this beautiful Church on our way to the shops. We walked down the long steps and kept looking back at the the views of the church.

This is a smaller church that has a beautiful view of the city. Inside it was empty, so you had some time to sit and just enjoy the silence. This place is a ´must visit´ while in Akureyri!

And what a climb. A scenic set of stairs from downtown to the church. Beautiful on a clear day. Unique architecture for this town of older buildings.

Take a picture on the stairs leading to lovely church on the hill. The church is the main thing in Akureyri, well visible almost from every part of the city. Definitely worth to see!
