Hof is one of the most interesting building in Akureyri. A great cultural center. It also has the 1862 Bistro which is quite nice and I also went into one inhouse concept store. I very nice one that does NOT sell the Ittala vases.

We left our cruise ship and walked here. We gathered information on the region from the pamphlets, advertisements, and from the helpful staff. It is also a community center full of kids.

This building is beautiful inside and out. It is centrally located and easy to find, so for a large group is was a great drop off and meet up location. You can tour inside to get out of the weather, nice artifacts as well.

This cultural centre, art gallery and performance centre, is the place to go for tourist information, book tours or pick up a souvenir, we bought some postcards, they sell stamps and will post mail for you, grab a coffee or just admire the building.

Free Wifi. Nice free clean restrooms. Tourist information. There’s also Nonni’s restaurant. And some art exhibits. Very close to the cruise terminal.

We did a walk in the seafront and reached this building. Interesting, however closed Sunday early morning.

This structure was a little out of character and more modern than most in Akureyri but it did provide an information centre and toilets as well as a Conference centre.

In need of some directions to a remote location nearby, the staff were lovely - really helpful, bringing out maps and suggesting photographs. A nice place for a rest and wander, too. Liked the traffic lights in Akureyri - heart-warming...
