Beautiful grounds. Closed greenhouses, covered structures. But warm and clean public bathrooms were $1 and worth it.

We were really surprised what an interesting, and well laid out gardens this was. They let the flowers and plants naturally fade away and die, which adds kind of an interesting look to the place in October.

Lystigardurinn in Akureyri us a wonderful place to walk around and in summertime it’s ideal to have picnic and play with the kids. Beautiful flowers, plants and trees.

We visited in the fall and there was still a magnificent range of plants in flower plus the added bonus of the tree leaves turning into various shades. Free entry and well worth a visit.
