One of the most peaceful & beautiful places to visit in the city. We came in June & the amount of flora was unbelievable some of the plant life here is breathtaking. The smell of fresh flowers & sounds of bird life will make you want to stay for hours especially considering

Beautiful gardens just out of the way enough to be a quiet oasis. The displays are outstanding, and it is a refreshing place to wander around after a long day driving. Full of little outdoor rooms with different themes and a surprising amount of blooms for the time of year.

Make the time to walk here and see this beautiful garden. We were fortunate to have been here with beautiful fall equinox weather, but seeing foliage from another part of the globe is a treat any time of the year!

The gardens are easy to walk to from Akureyri centre and entry is free. You can roam around for an enjoyable hour or so. Well laid out and maintained, I particularly liked the alpine garden. There is a cafe open in the season and toilets.
