Ingi was our guide for our Fantastic Four tour. He was exceptional. Simply the best guide you could have. He took extra care of me as I tend to trip over the deep snow in the snow shoes. Weather was bad, but Ingi made sure we get to the best location in the superjeep while other vehicles could not venture. In fact, we were the only ones at the waterfalls. We got to enjoy the magnificent views of Dettifoss, Selfoss, Godafoss in private. We could even scream through our lungs. We thoroughly enjoy our day. Ingi also went the extra mile to take good photo for us. Great company with great guides !! Join them on your next trip. You can't be wrong with passionate people trying to show you the best of their country.

We had an amazing full day private tour with Ingy from IcaAk. We visited the places that can only be driven to by their super jeeps even during the summer months - Dettifoss, Godafoss, lava fields and a cave. To reach Dettifoss waterfall in March we had to use the snowshoes which was an interesting experience by itself.
Ingy has arranged a diner at the small local farm's restaurant/cafe and we were happy that he did as the food was very authentic and nice and very reasonably priced. The day culminated with the visit to hot spring lagoon Myvatn that is highly recommended by visitors and we certainly agree with these recommendations.

The tour to the Askja area was amazing.
Our driver/guide Ingi showed an high level competence and was very professional and, at the same time, was very funny so that the whole experience was really enjoyable.
I would recommend this company and I will have another tour with them on my next trip to Iceland.

This was an amazing experience. The opportunity to see the varied landscape of the Highlands was great. Ingi was a great guide with a deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the geology and the landscape. Ingi went beyond expectations helping to physically navigate down the slopes to edge of Lake Askja. This is an experience not to be missed.

I had the chance to try IceAk's The Fantastic Falls Super Jeep tour when I was in Akureyri earlier this month and it was one of the highlights of my trip! With lots of intense driving and a little bit of winter hiking, I was able to see the beautiful Goðafoss, Aldeyjarfoss, and Hrafnabjargafoss waterfalls. My guide not only showed be the best spots for photos, but he also brought me to some of his own personal favourite places along the falls. He also showed me photos of the falls that he took at different times of the year and shared interesting personal stories about the area too. At one point, the jeep got stuck in the snow, but I thought it added to the adventure. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side when we wanted to see the Ice wall at Kaldakinn (the area was flooded for the first time in 18 years or so), but my guide showed me other interesting sites to make up for it. Overall, I absolutely loved this tour and I already want to book another one with IceAk the next time I'm in Akureyri!

Went to Akureyri last week (February / March 2024) and did 4 tours with Ice AK Super Jeep Tour (2x Noorderlicht / The Fantastic Falls / The Fantastic 4). Went out with Ingy 4 times and his enormous knowledge of the area, experience and drive made our holiday unforgettable. Iceland is already a beautiful country (I have already visited it in September), but with Ice AK you can also experience the real Iceland in winter. Extremely intensive days with plenty of highlights that also allow for a mix for younger and older people. The Super Jeeps take the older people to places they didn't think possible and for the younger ones, Ingy adds some extra adventure if they want it. Safety is fully taken into account.
So if you are visiting Iceland near Akureyri, take a good look at the website and get to know the real Iceland outside the ring road.

Nothing but exceptional. Our guide took us to some amazing off road places not accessible by conventional rental vehicles. It’s a bit scary since you’ll be waist deep in snow, freezing (can’t stress enough you should layer up), and sliding off some cliffs you’ve no idea how to come back from. The thing is, after an hour or so you learn to trust them. These guys know exactly what they’re doing. Ingimundur was our guide for the day and he embodies what made me love Iceland so much: incredibly nice people who absolutely love their country and its nature. Can’t wait to come back !

We had an AMAZING Northern Lights tour with IceAk! They were easy to coordinate with, prompt with pick-up, and provided great information during our tour. They also give easy instructions on how to capture Northern Lights photos on your phone. Besides the northern lights, it is immensely fun to go riding through the mountains in their super vehicles. I highly recommend them for a Northern Lights tour-it's a one of a kind experience!

This trip was a MAJOR highlight of my trip, if not my favorite part. We did the Ring Road by camper van, so we saw a lot, but all of it pales in comparison to our trip with IceAk. We did the private tour and it was worth every penny. Ingi was our guide and shared a ton of great stories on local traditions, history, and even personal stories of growing up in the area. He took us to a lot of places that only a local would know and only the correct vehicle could get you there. By the end, he was still willing to show us more but we were exhausted and needed to hit the road to our next destination. HIGHLY recommend this tour. You won't regret it. In fact, my wife and I will be returning and hiring this company again, without a doubt.

My husband and I had a fantastic time in a super jeep tour visiting an abandoned farmhouse and valley, local church and waterfalls. What made it special, though, was our guide Ingi-he is incredibly knowledgeable, flexible, funny and fun! As we traversed the countryside he explained everything we were seeing and was extremely accommodating. At the end of our tour, our campervan had a battery issue and Ingi happily helped get us back on the road. I can not speak highly enough of him as a guide and so very much enjoyed our time with him!
