You could easily spend several hours, but we wanted to see the cathedral too, so we hurried through some of the last section. Seems like too much emphasis on the "importance" of pets and toys.

I love Turun linna! It's a little further from the city centre, but still within a walking distance (something like a little bit over 30 mins walk from the central train station). The tickets are reasonably priced and the staff helpful and nice. There's also a cafe. The castle itself is interesting and hosts loads of fascinating exhibitions about the... More

Very old historic castle in Turku harbour. Lots of to see. Can be viewed without a guide but guided tours are available. There is a great dress up room for both kids and adults which is a lot of fun. Also at times has museum class displays from other countries.

This is not like Castles in other cities full of fancy rooms. Some of it is left to imagination or artist renderings. I definitely feel the extra 3€ for the guided English tour is worth it. Although you could read most everything in English (except the restoration effort). Very well done tour. After the tour, there were more rooms full... More

The castle is in a good shape and there you can go back in the time several hundred years. It is special to the children but also the adults will find it interesting.

We went for a brief visit and discovered a gigantic castle full of interesting things. The tour is interesting and even our little ones didnt get tired and kept pulling us forward. A very nice visit for all

Coincidentally, we visited Turku Castle just when they had Medieval event. We walked with the guide and take a look at the most important medieval castle structures, and we heard about life in the Middle Ages. The guide was very good and spoke clearly and audibly, even though the groups were quite large. The event was brought to the castle... More

You need certainly more than 3 hours to take a tour inside the castle, yet the view of tne castle when approaching is breathtaking! Huge and imposing, my friends informed me that you may book events in the tower, even plan your wedding party!

We spent about 3 hours at this castle but we easily could have spent twice that time. This is a unique place with lots of very interesting and beautiful things to see and a fascinating history to learn. I would say that if this castle were in a less remote place than Finland (such as in the region of Paris... More

We weren't sure about this, knowing very little Finnish history we might have been in over our heads, but the explanations of each room were good, and I got a better sense of the stories within. There was a somewhat strange set of animal exhibitions that added some art and flair to the place, but a few of them seemed... More
