Tasty sweet and just baked buns called munkki (the direct translation is a munck) taht all locals want to eat when they walk in the area. Be prepared to queue! But they are worth it. The nice tower is a little smaller than Näsineula, but with a more historical tone. The surrounding area is well worth the stroll.

Do pay to go up the tower, and do take the stairs up to the view point! It's a climb, but once you see the view, you'll know it was worth it!

We reached the tower after a nice walk from the marina along the lake and through the park, it was maybe 1,5 hours at a slow and relaxed pace. The ticket for the tower is 2 euros, buy it at the bar. You can walk up but there is also a lift. The view from the top is beautiful, because... More

Great walk up to the observation tower, beautiful views of the city. We went late at night near Juhannus and the entire city was washed in gold sunlight, just breathtaking.

There is an elevator but the tower is not that high so you can also climb up the stairs. It's very small, not many people can go up together. The view on the lake is nice.

My colleague brought me there and told me that people go there for hiking, walking with the dog but most go there to drink coffee and eat the best donut you can find in Finland. And I must say he was right! Further you have nice view and can smell the nature.
