We found this beautiful secluded beach full of colours so we parked our car to decide if we were staying. We walked 100 meters, decided to stay and when we went back for our belongings (after 15 minutes) the window of our car was destroyed...More

Stunning location. Snorkeling was not good because of the waves and bad visibility. For older kids ok but with the small ones you have to be careful, suddenly it's very deep. Small stones on the beach, shoes recommended. Small parking place, be prepared to leave...More

We walked along the beach and the views are incredible. This is not prime season. Angie said the beaches completely fill up for prime season and the small town overflows. You can imagine how it would look during the summer.

if you get the right place its only 10 euro for a lounger and table and umbrella for 2 for the full day (ask around) the beach is clean and you can walk out for a long time (very safe with plenty of lifeguards)

Luxury country hotels (1 Replies)
After a week split among Florence, Siena and Lucca, we would like to spend a couple of nights in a luxury country hotel - somewhere secluded and romantic. We are a young couple without kids, so ideally we are looking for a small place set in beautiful grounds, with great views, and a nice restaurant on site. My favourite so far has been Villa Sassolini - until I saw poor reviews on Tripadvisor. Any recommendations? Many thanks.
