If you hate all things slimy and dangerous (snakes, crocs, lizards), don't go. Or go if your kid loves them (why I went). So many snakes, caimans, lizards, some spiders and other things. Many-many-many. The conditions seemed a bit rough and the whole thing was...More

We visited this attraction as it was listed on the visit Helsinki tourism website. The attraction states it has the largest giantsnake species than any other zoo in the Northern countries. It is easy to get to by tram using the No.1 or 1A tram...More

Visited here with a 7-year old on a gloomy and slushy winter day. This is in a not-too-centrally located part of Helsinki, but can be reached conveniently from the city center with tram number 7, in slightly over 20 minutes. (Need to figure out where...More

Heading down the stairs I wasn’t sure if this place was going to be a Pet Shop or just a small place with a few snakes. It feels slightly dated upon first impressions. However, once I paid (10 Euros for Students / 13 Euros for...More

This is not very large place but there is many interesting snakes and other reptiles inculding crocodile and few turtles. The best show is given by the only bird "Harri". I would love to see more birds.

Visited the place with kids and they absolutely loved it. If you’re interested in snakes and reptiles, Tropicario offers a lot. The entrance fee is pretty expensive, though. However, we spent nearly 3 hours there all in all, and it was educating, too, so I...More

A small place where they have many snakes, but it's rather expensive for such a small place. The entrance fee is 13 euros and the place is mostly full of running, screaming, crying, yelling kids! If you are a big fan of snakes it might...More

We visited tropicario today. Quite a nice day. Animals are all moving and putting on a show. There are enough info in English to get along. Would be nice if the plants inside the enclosures would be real.

Exotic animals, venomous snakes, scorpions, spiders and even crocodile and a alligator. This compact zoo or tropicario focuses to a spesific area and does it rather well. The place is compact, animals are easy to see (the terrarios are well positioned and set up). There...More
