Me and my friend took part to a gin&tonic-course in Liberty. Bubbly barmanager Hanna talked for two hours about gin&tonics history, how different gins are made and about other trivial but very intresting facts and told funny stories.
And the best part was 6 different GT:s, we got to drink, included in the price of the course.
Loved it and will go again!

Had after dinner drinks in the Liberty or Death and it was a pleasant experience. The bar is dark bu cozy and the music was slow and easy to listen (I wonder what is their playlist).
Staff was friendly and drinks were good. I'd have another drink in there.

This is one of the best cocktail bars I have ever been in. Staff, drinks, atmosphere, everything is on point. We were in Helsinki for 4 nights and went here every night. Not pretentious in any way, the staff were great and done really well even in busy times. Cocktails were really really good. Do not miss this place.

Liberty or Death is a lovely little cocktail bar, somewhat of a hidden gem. The menu is interesting with some great options. It seemed we were the only travellers in on the busy night we visited, everyone else seemed to be speaking Finnish, so it seems to be well liked by locals. Would visit again.

Definitely worth a visit! One of the best cocktail bars in Helsinki. The atomsphere is different, quite dark and interesting. The location is very central and easy to carry on to night clubs if that’s your plan.

Having just visited Trillby & Chadwick and loved it, we simply had to go to the sister establishment 10 minutes walk away. Located on a busy street but not hidden away, it doesn’t hold many people, but the lack of warmth of decor is made up by the warmth of welcome. We had different cocktails on a changing menu, and were universally impressed. Relaxed without being offputting, and cool without being up itself, I’ll be back.

Delicious cocktails. Service was fast despite the bar being almost full. The cocktail list had house drinks and classic drinks with a twist. Definitely a place to visit again but be aware it can be full in the weekend.

After reading a few reviews and a nice write up in the NYTimes, I was quite curious to check out this hole in the wall bar and we were not disappointed. The menu itself is quite small (maybe 12 drinks) but each one is well crafted and has a funny though completely random description which immediately quieted down everyone at our table as we took in all the information. However, they do also have a skilled bar tender on site who can craft just about whatever you can imagine should you put in a request at the bar. Staff were all professional though not terribly outgoing or interested in engaging with guests, but the location and decor of the place were great, so I would happily recommend it to anyone stopping by in Helsinki and looking for something different

Excellent drinks! Chilled ambient athmosphere. Very helpfull service. Definitely the place you want to go. It may be hard to notice this coctail bar from the street.

My friend and I ducked into this bar on a rainy night. It was a cozy spot and wasn't crowded since we went on a Tuesday night. The cocktails were interesting and tasted great. I even found my new favorite drink! Try the Oaxaca Old Fashioned if it's on the menu. Super tasty. Andreas, the bartender, was super nice. He sat with us for a few minutes to chat about the bar and gave us suggestions on other bars we could visit. Because I loved my drink so much he even gave me the recipe to bring home! I would totally come back if I ever come back to this great city.
