Maria is an excellent and knowledgeable guide Who knows Helsinki well. She gave us a great introduction to the city that was not the cheapest though was one of the best city tours I have been on. She was able to build the tour round what we wanted to see and added in some must see stuff too. The walking and talking was great and the historical information combined with Maria’s insights into current life in Helsinki made this a memorable tour. Thank you Maria.

We spent most of our time in shops, although we had expected more emphasis on buildings, furniture, and other forms of design art. The tour guide did not have a sign or other visible indication that he was with Happy Guide Helsinki. His information from the company indicated he only had one tour group rather than two. He therefore ignored us and we had to interrupt his discussion with the other two people to determine whether he was our tour guide, which was rather surprising considering this type of miscommunication had apparently occurred at least once before. Otherwise the guide was perfectly pleasant.

We - the grandparents - had a challenge because our grandkids are 6 to 15 years old. Emil did a remarkable job engaging all kids including running backwards to motivate the 6 year old plus finding a suitable children focused shelter when raining. In addition Emil made sure he covered all major sights and readily discussed in depth the politics and history of Finland. Great job Emil!

We booked a private walking tour (non touristic) 3 hours through Helsinki. It was absolutely perfect!! Maria is a young student, who speaks 10 languages. Her German was perfect. She showed us Helsinki from a local perspective. It was super interesting, a lot of fun and the perfect experience. We highly recommend Happy Guide also to our Hotel. This is the perfect way to get a real feeling of the city!!
