We wanted to see the music hall but the organ was being "voiced" so it was closed off. However, on line I saw that there was a free musical event on the patio that evening and we sat there. Fruit drinks were delicious and there were lap blankets if it got too cold. The duo played folk music which is great in any language. Loved the hour we stayed there before walking across to the new library. Terrific evening...thank you

First time in Music centre. Absolutely fabulous place. Great concert, acoustics was good. We ordered everything in advance, buffet before the show/halftime serving and that was wise decision. Concert was sold out and the queues were too long for my nerves. When buying the ticket, watch the seating map carefully. There were people who were sitting back of the orchestra and they saw only the conductor's face, well they here the music of course but it was nice to see the hole line-up.

A great place to enjoy good concerts. First of all, its location is great. Most importantly, the acoustics ate great, the views are great basically from any seat. The seats are comfortable. Can highly recommend!

Let's face it. It's a very ugly building. At least the interior is better and the staff is really friendly. It's really big inside so you might want to check where you're seated. You can see much from the upper circle so don't waste your money for an experience that will resemble you sitting in front of your tv on a quiet evening...

The Music Center looks like a cartoon box outside, but it is a marvelous place to listen to music. The acoustics is very good and the design of the big hall is ingenious. At the Center there are different halls for different purposes: chamber music, small groups, etc. At the big hall there are 1700 seats; therefore it is mostly for symphony concerts - but sometimes even for rock. I have only had good seats, but I have heard that some seats are bad. Generally it is a very good experience.

(Finnish: Helsingin musiikkitalo, Swedish: Musikhuset i Helsingfors) is a concert hall and a music center in Töölönlahti, Helsinki. The building is home to Sibelius Academy and two symphony orchestras, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra.
It's new, has beautiful architecture, you should really see it inside and outside. Nice cafe and also an outside stage. Well worth a look.

As a returning customer for HSO (Helsinki Symphony Orchestra) I must say that this hall gives a listener superb musical experiences. Sound is enjoyable where ever you have a seat in the hall. Ones ears are not the only way to get enjoyment there ... it can come through your eyes and mouth, too. It is possible to find delicious bites during a concert break.

During the main tourist season the center doesn't have many concerts. But this (no entrance charged) place is worth a visit anyway. It doesn't look big because the concert halls are built downward. The main hall is a beautiful, modern masterpiece. I'd love to hear a concert there! You can and might want to walk the stairs to get an idea of the rest of the place. I loved the various viewpoints of this clever building. The inside and outside sculptures are also worthwhile. Finally there is a small cafe where you can have lunch or coffee. Sometimes there is a free concert next to the caffee played by music students.

The Helsinki Music Centre (Musiikkitalo in Finnish) is a concert hall and a music center in Töölönlahti. It was opened in August 2011.

Musiikkitalo is located between Finlandia Hall and the museum of contemporary art Kiasma. Across the street is the Parliament of Finland.

The building is home to Sibelius Academy and two symphony orchestras, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra.

The vineyard-type main concert hall seats 1,704 people. There are five smaller rooms for 140–400 listeners.

The concert calendar has something for everybody: classical, folk, jazz and pop music. From September to May, there are 70 to 100 concerts and other events every month.

You can visit the house without a concert ticket. There is a restaurant cafe and you can also take a one-hour public tour.
