Nice place to see a performance

The exterior of the opera building is quite ugly, but it is nice inside. I saw a great ballet performance there.

Nice place to enjoy some Classical music. It's recommended to book drinks/coffee on advance to avoid waiting on queue.

I attended a production of the ballet "pieni merenneeito ", a version of HCA's "The Little Mermaid". I booked my ticket by phone and got one of the last 1st balcony center seats which provided excellent sight line and acoustics. If you book this way you are expected to pay for and pick up your ticket in person by noon... More

We we're here for our first visit of the Opera. A wonderful building first of all, but also a great performance showing Phantom of the Opera.

Phantom of the Opera, what a great spectacle on Thursday, Feb 25th. Great singers, especially Christine, we loved her voice. The Phantom was also great. The set design, vow. If you manage to get tickets, go there and enjoy.

Exciting performance of four top choreographers: Ekman, Volpi, Carlson, Uotinen. The most visually effective was Uotinen's Jord. Male dancers dancing on the red sand. Also Ekman's Episode 31 was energetic.

Overall: 4 Comments: slight off center, by Töölö and Töölönranta (waterfront), much of the impression depends on the performance. Indigo was a good one. The opera itself provided fairly fast wardrobe service, coming and going, wine and champagne on arrival and during the breaks, and information on time left before start. When large crowds are moving it has to be... More

We went there for the Russian opera "The Nose". The building is quite impressive, large and modern. The seats were very comfortable and we enjoyed the fact that the languages displayed were not only the national ones being Finnish and Swedish but also English.

I have been to Kansallisooppera ( Finnish National Opera) for several times and it's always an experience. This time I went to see the Nutctacker and mouse king ballet. The space is open and clear and you can find your way around easily. Price level for cafeteria items are somewhat high but if you only visit once or twice per... More
