This is right in the centre of Helsinki and the building is beautiful. It still has a lot of the original features and surprisingly very quiet. Its nice if have have a spare 20 minutes to spare to look around and loose yourself in the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

A typical railway station where yoy just want to get away from the crowd when yoy arrive or just want to rush to the platform so as not to miss the train. But, you know what, the platform layout is messy. If you are leaving by train, please come early so that you could locate your train platform comfortably in... More

Wonderful Art Deco building that puts modern stations to shame. Detail everywhere you look. General vibe is also cool, spacious , no barriers and friendly. Conjures up adventure rather than just travel!😁

This place is both an architecture monument and a state of the art transport hub with connection to metro, train and busses. Always crowded but still very efficient

Came back into Helsinki for 8 hours after 2 days work across the Baltic and needed a place to drop my bags that was central and close to transport. The station is right in the centre of the city and joins rail, taxis and both local & airport buses. There are also trams nearby. There are lockers of all sizes... More

This is quite possibly one of the coolest railway stations in the world. I've never seen anything quite like it; the exteriors are absolutely stunning, particularly the facade statues with the lamps.

It looks like many train stations and this one is easy access to anywhere in Finn Land if you want to depart from Helsinki to anywhere from Ivalo to Rovaniemi to visit the Santa Claus. Can get the tickets from the booth or machine but better prepare extra time if you need to translate Finnish to English and locate the... More

We walked from our hotel to the train station. Beautiful building. It was easy to board the train, which we took to St Petersburg, Russia. Lovely country side.
