There is minimal signage on the outside door, but just go on in. Huge public washrooms which is convenient. Lots of comfortable sitting that is refreshingly air conditioned if you need to rest and plan your next stop. Not much to see inside. The cafeteria smelled delicious!

As most publc toilets in Helsinki seem to cost 1 Euro we were delighted to find the City Hall near the harbour with free spotlessly clean toilets . They had a Flush art exhibition in the toilets while we were there some very interesting videos , pictures and special effects. There was also interent access but unsure if this was free.

Looking for a free toilet in Helsinki City? Seems like mission impossible - until you visit the City Hall. There is a changing display related to Helsinki, lots of info material to take with and very spacious and clean toilets.

Don't let the receptionists scare you, this place is open for all.

This beautifull Helsinki City Hall is located right next to the main market place. Which is then located right in the centre of Helsinki. This area includes a lot interesting, the presidental palace, the orthodox church, the big white churc the whole Empire centre. City Hall is open for public and a good hint to know is there is spacious free toilets. Downstiars there is also the cantine serving really good food for good price, lunch time.

We took a wander into the city hall and were pleasantly surprised to find a great exhibition of 50's food adverts. We had a lovely wander round and I'm sure other exhibitions would be just as good. Great tourist information section too for other things to do.

The foyer often has some interesting displays about the past of Helsinki. There's also internet access, a corner to sit and read and one of the best free toilets in town.

It’s quite expensive to dine out in Helsinki but we came across a poster (see the photos) promoting summer lunch buffet at €12.70! We gave it a try and were satisfied with what we got.

The restaurant is spacious. It offers quite a wide variety of vegetables but only a few meat dishes. If you love veggies more than meat, you may like this place.

A great, calm and civilised place to have lunch. Good value entrees and sandwiches in a recently refurbished and very Nordic looking cafeteria style dining space. A chance to experience a little of Finish real life.
