There is a lot of information to aid you in your visit to Helsinki. A lot of guides etc. in a lot of languages. While I was there I saw an exhibition in the hall which seems to be the norm. Good for a look.

If you don't have a spare 50cent, or are cheap, curious of new places, then go here for clean free washrooms. Not much else for tourists.

A very elegant building overlooking the Market Square and harbour. Great source of Information, maps, brochures, etc., and staff are very helpful in assisting. The day we visited there was a display of various machinery which had been manufactured in Finland. Toilets are very clean and no cost!

I was lucky to be in town when Sibelius' 150th anniversary was being celebrated here and there was much to see and listen to. The building itself is fine and ideally suited to put on shows such as this. Well worth a visit at other times to see what's on. Very interesting toilets - quite like no other I have... More

The city hall is a truly elegant building with dream color. The sky pale blue is just a relaxing and assuring color that is brilliantly chosen for the building. I find the building just next to the Cathedral in elegance. It is also overlooking the market square adding much value to the square. I did not get a chance to... More

The City hall has an exposition about the city self, most are in green. There is also an nice artwork to see, the tower of fingers. On the other side there's an photo exposition about "serpent" of Finland. The architecture inside the building is not really beautiful as we may expect it

Lovely attractive building that shows the architecture of its time. Tried to sneak a look inside but not successful. Worth a drive past

Attending a congress in Helsinki, the Openingfunction were held here. The reception hall was so beautiful, especially the chandeliers hanging from the ceiing in all their splendour. You could not stop staring at them, and that really was welcome, having to listen to speach after speach! The interior of the whole building is worth a visit, and it is so well situated near the harbour.

We visited this on its opening day and thankfully there were few people there. We went back the following day and there were too many people really. But then it was Helsinki Day so undoubtedly not typical. The displays are very well presented and as well as providing information; it gives the opportunity to let the mind dwell on the... More

Not much here and nothing super attractive about the building. Tourist info desk and plenty of brochures plus clean toilets. Varying free exhibitions in main lobby.
