First off, I am easily impressed when it comes to zoos. I like them, no doubt about it. But Sea Life in Helsinki was not only ridiculously expensive (16€ as a student), but also simply not worth half of the money. The animals you can see are not at all that exotic, apart from one or two exceptions, and after slightly more than half an hour you have seen everything there is, even if you take your time, it is just small. If you have some kind of reduction/free voucher, go, maybe also see the carnival next to it, but you might as well save the money and go somewhere else. Even the children seemed a tad disappointed in the end.

I usually dont go alone to this kind of places but i happened to be nearby and decided to go in. Staff is very friendly and helpful and there are several nice spots to take a break.
I especially liked the part where you walk through some kind of water tunnel and sharks are swimming above your head. It was full 3 dimensional experience and i would definitely go again. I recommend it to families but as well to all of you who love sea and water and are interested to learn new things about sea life.
Also there is a great chance to donate and help sea animals in danger.

I love aquariums -- I have been to approximately 40 around the world and this small to medium-sized aquarium exceeded my expectations. While my 7-year-old daughter, who normally loves aquariums, zipped through rather quickly and sat making crafts in the lovely stuffed animal-filled kids room, I took my time. What made this aquarium stand out is the incredibly informative staff. They were ready to answer questions, not just during the feeding times (I attended two), but at any time. Their enthusiasm for their work and sea life made this a top notch experience.

Have to admit, that I had somewhat doubts about the place (mostly due to reviews here). But it turned out to be very good actually. They have quite a good variety of sea creatures and a nice setup. Cannot really complain about anything.
Not sure how crowded this place can get but we were there Saturday morning in November just after opening and obviously not much competition around the exhibits. I think we spent a good 1.5 hours there and my 8 year old boy was as happy as he can be.
We have visited similar places out in the world (most recently aquarium in Sentosa Island, Singapore) and I honestly cannot say that the experience in Helsinki was in any way less worth it compared to the others.
I guess the price can be considered somewhat high but then again, it is in Helsinki and to keep this kind of places in shape does not come cheap regardless of location.
So, if interested in things like that, I would definitely recommend it.

This is small aquarium and tickets are expensive. They have something interesting like sharks. One time was enough.

A perfectly OK sea life centre if you have an afternoon to kill or kids want to see some animals. However, if you've been too Sea Life centres elsewhere, not exceptional.

A great aquarium, with a wide variety of marine life, and a lot of information about aquatic creatures in general. A really good way to spend a couple of hours, if not more. There is a nice cafeteria where you can have a snack. Easily accessible by tram. Free with the Helsinki Card. Excellent for all ages, but especially good for kids. And, as usual in Helsinki, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Plus, everyone speaks English.

There is lot of different kind of sea animals. Place is not big so you can see all about 1 hour. Recommended to go when they feed animals, whats the feeding times on internet. Sometimes there is guide for some sea life experience where you can touch animals or some sea plants.

See life is within Linnanmäki amusement parc. Parking space in the proximity of the Linnanmäki amusement park is very limited. Parking areas for cars can be found on the Alppila side, along Tivolitie Street. The parking fee is €2/hour. Accepted payment methods are coins, Credit and Debit cards, as well as the EasyPark and ParkMan services. Parking areas are subject to a charge 24 hours a day, on every day of the year. Parking areas are managed by AutoParkki Norden Oy.
