Very enjoyable visit to go up the Olympic tower and see Helsinki from a new perspective. Stunning views from all aspects, especially looking down at the stadium below. The viewing platform isn’t that big so only a handful of people really fit at a time but it was pretty quiet when we visited. Also, went to the sports museum which was informative and had some good fun interactive elements, admittedly mostly for kids but still good. Not a big museum but worth adding it to your ticket to make more of visit here. Also, enjoyed the stadium cafe and being able to sit outside and see the impressive arena up close. Good little shop for Finnish souvenirs too. Easy to walk to or use the hop on and off buses as well. As many say here, check it is open for visits.

Bailantai -concert on Septemper 2022. They said it's gonna be crouded and you should be there early. Not true! This place was very well organized and we got in really fast. Everything went smoothly, there were enough toilets, good signs to everywhere. Great! Thank you!

A superb olympic stadium where I ran to the finish line to complete my PB for the Helsinki Marathon. The flying Finn. The nostalgia and history that you feel inside this stadium is incredible, I can't wait to see Suomi in a game!

I have played outside this stadium on a few occasions, but had never actually been in until Finland had a fixture against Wales.

Being Welsh in Finland this was a great opportunity for me to go support my country but also to take my son (who's Finnish) to watch too.

The stadium staff were very confusing and had sent us the wrong way twice and then when we got to the right area it was sealed off.

There were only 2 temporary toilets to use which wasn't great but that's really the only downside.

It was clean, had character, no restricted views, just really nice.

Shame the game wasn't so great. One plus side was I got featured on the Welsh FA and Welsh TV twitter accounts for being what looked like the only "away" fan there!

If you get the chance. Go visit.

We popped in for a quick exploration on a windy and cold November day and enjoyed the visit. The highlight of course was the 11 storey tower with amazing views.

We made the half-hour walk from the city centre to visit the Olympic Stadium, only to find it surrounded by boarding, and closed for comprehensive reconstruction. We found one construction worker who told us that this work had begun earlier this year, and that it was scheduled to take until 2019 before completion. The tower of the stadium, supposedly offering great views over the city, is also closed. We walked around the site, containing some other sporting arenas, and we did get to see the statues of Finnish runners Lasse Viren and (naked, bizarrely) Paavo Nurmi on the approach to the stadium ... but really this was hardly worth the effort of getting there. So a warning for anyone else who, like we were, is unaware of the stadium closure: DON'T BOTHER!

Got there to find a construction site and a sign saying the tower and museum are closed for several years! Very little to see until then. Disappointing

I had been there the first time to attend the Athletics world championship in 2005. The stadium was built decades ago and is very old. It is small and very different from the vast modern stadiums that have been built to accommodate the recent olympic games and to host the most prominent foot-ball teams. However, it is a very friendly place. Due to its size, the stadium was packed for an athletics competition, which is rare, and the ambiance in the championship was very warm.

It is worth walking up there or taking a tram from the center of the city, to see it.

We came here to go up the tower! However make sure it's a clear day!

When we went up it was snowing and windy, almost a snow storm! But the lookout was fantastic and for €5 each it was a bargain.

Try and get a selfie from the top and post it to their Instagram hashtag!

Well worth it! Also the cafe is good at the bottom!

This attraction gives you the opportunity to take lovely photos of Helsinki from up high. Highest place I have found in Helsinki. If feels quite safe at the top even though it was old as nicely enclosed.

Unfortunately during our visit the stairs were closed so disappointingly we had to take the lift :-(

Coffee shop is closed on the weekend.
