    For the young and sturdy
Perhaps we made a mistake going to an amusement park at our advanced age. But it was one of the few things open during midsummer in Helsinki. We bought all-day ride passes which were a bit expensive considering we only managed to get onto five rides. The lines were very long. And the place is really hard to navigate with all of the staircases and hills. We did like the panorama ride and the wonderful view of the city and the Baltic. And we braved the wooden roller coaster and survived, a bit rattled and bruised but the thing is authentic and historic. But we will leave this to the young in the future.

    Typical amusement park
A typical amusement park close to the city center. Do NOT expect something like Tivoli in Copenhagen or Grönland in Göteborg! The price for a day-whristband is ok, if your child fulfills all criteria to ride the fun rides, if too small or too young an adult must always accomplish. For kids under the age of 14 and 1,40 m the price is to high! Most of the area is stuffed with lottery booths. The waiting time for the rides, was even on a cold rainy Saturday quite long.

My favorite amusement park in Nordics
One of the greatest amusement parks in Nordics. I liked this a lot more than Gröna Lund, which is very similar park. Taiga (Intamin LSM Blitz coaster) is world-class coaster and is one of the best coasters in Europe hands down! Linnanmäki is also run by a child welfare charity organization. This means that all the profits the park makes (after expenses) goes to childred welfare work. That is very unique and awesome. The park also has very good athmosphere and a lot of variety of rides. It is also located very near the city-center. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend you to visit this park.

    Rides for all ages
Fun little amusement park for all ages! (Or at least a wide range of ages). We were there with our toddler, so we didn't go on any of the bigger rides, but they had a few cute rides for tiny tot rides, a couple that were even free. The staff members we interacted with were nice, and helpful (when needed); and the park was clean and easy to get around. And as we went on a random weekday in August, there were no lines whatsoever.

A warning: Linnanmäki Amusement Park is very expensive. Not only the tickets are expensive (39 euros per person and there are no discounts to anyone) but also the food is. The portions are also super small, take heed and take some extra food with you if you plan to stay there a whole day. The park itself is very small and is packed with people during summertime, so prepare for long lines and a lot of waiting. There are a few decent rides, a couple of rollecoasters and rides for children, but I personally didn't find them to be anything special and the workers seem to be rather tired and bored. The park is very clean though.

We had a great time. I just thought it is worth indicating that when the website says “free entry including 8 rides” the 8 rides are specific ones that are free and targeting very young children. I am not sure the website is clear about this or I missed it. We ended up buying the wristband as the prices for rides comes out more expensive unless you limit yourself dramatically.
Lots of fun rides I think for different ages. In some parks you end up have a couple for each age group, but this time our group found a lot to do! Queues were longer because of spacing done due to COVID but not as long as we experienced in the big amusement parks. Nice place, good ambiance.

Today we had visited as Hevisaurus played at the Peacock Theatre inside Linnanmäki.

As always, we go check out some of the free rides (for the younger ones) as the boy loves them and he's too small for most things.

Had a bit of fun before the concert.

The theatre itself was nowhere near as small as I expected. Only though 200 people or so would be going...it was closer to 600!

We had an amazing time. This band is just fantastic for the kids. Being a big metal fan, I loved it of course.

They're great with the kids in the audience and put on a great 60/70 mins.

The theme park itself is a tad expensive for some things but expected with the rising energy costs etc.

If you're here on holiday, I'd say go. If you live here....you've got all summer so try get there.

Very low expectations. But loads of rides, real thrill seekers! Kept my teen amused the whole afternoon (though I think it was my shrieking he found the most amusing)
Thought the wrist bands were good value.
Easy to get there on the bus from central Helsinki.
No queues!

Nicest thing about the park is that you don't have to pay entrance fee, so if you not fond of the rides or simply don't want to , you can just walk around while more adventurous part of the family is enjoying rides, as theme or amusement parks with set entrance fee sometimes a bit pricey, and adults not always get much from rides for the price paid. Also if you suddenly got the mood to ride, you always can by ticket for one ride for EUR 9 or for 6 rides for EUR 42, but I think day ticket/wristband is a value for money - EUR 42 for all rides, same price as 6 ride ticket definitely best bang for your buck. There are plenty of different rides for any taste, from extreme ones like Taiga to the just kiddy rides.
Also it is worth to mention that for smaller kids park offers free rides, only catch is that they are closed 2 hours earlier than park itself, so better to plan your visit if you are interested in them.

The rides and the park are very nice but the customer service is non-existent.
Särkänniemi has older rides in average but their customer service throws shade to Linnanmäki.

This place pretends to be inclusive but if you have a person with disability you clearly get to see that all this is just empty words.

Great park this is, was looking forward to riding some unique coasters here. Taiga is an absolutely outstanding ride which is in my top 3 coasters worldwide and then some other rides are really good fun. Definitely work checking out while in Helsinki.
