Arto took us on a whistle stop your of Helsinki. He really engaged the kids (11 and 9) and tailored what he told us to the questions we were asking. The time flew by as we were all having an amazing time. We highly recommend Arto!!!

Arto's tour today was great! Speaking in a fluent English using individual electronic headsets, he gave us a complete tour of Helsinki main buildings and attractions. He has a good and easy contact with people. We also learnt a lot about Finland history and Finnish habits. I very rarely give reviews on internet, but he really deserves it, do not hesitate 1 second and try his tour!

Absolutely brilliant. We had a group of 17 here on business. Perfect event to see the city, learn a little about the country, and get a real insight into Finnish culture past and present.

We had the pleasure of taking a guided tour through the streets of Helsinki with Arto. On the surface this sounds like just another walking tour through the streets of a beautiful European city. But with Arto we experienced this as much more. Not sure how he did it, but the storytelling that he intertwined in our walking was exceptional. He provided a beautiful mix of knowledge of the old and new Helsinki, and most importantly, of the Finnish people. Buildings that Arto described now have a sense of meaning, and you see them very differently after this experience. His guide is definitely a gift for your days in Helsinki; for this and your future visits.

Everything in a city (buildings, statues etc) always have reasons to their existence today, and to me, it´s always more interesting to understand cities and cultures through this 'lense' - instead of just learning about who has designed, what and when.

Highly, highly recommend taking Arto's tour! I've traveled to several places across Europe and traditionally do the free walking tour route, but found Arto's site and decided to go with the pay-in-advance option and am *delighted* with my decision. This is arguably THE BEST walking tour I've ever taken of a city. Arto covered history, pop culture, architecture, food, shopping, religion, government, cultural traditions, public figures, foreign relations, and my favorite, *several* little known facts about the city that you would only ever get from a local who grew up there. I can't rave enough about how wonderful of a representative Arto is of the people of Finland and how informative his tour is! Enjoy!

Arto was a fantastic guide, he gave us a great overview of the history of Helsinki and Finland generally, and he was very knowledgeable answering our questions. He also gave us lots of practical tips for our stay!

Arto's 3 hour tour was chock full of historical and cultural insights. He truly knows how to read his crowd and adjust his tour to the needs and interests of those in attendance. We couldn't have done a better itinerary for our first day - after Arto's overview of the city, we were oriented and set up for success to make the most of our 2 days in the city. Thank you Arto!!

It was great meeting Arto - he was an amazing guide and made for a very enjoyable walk and talk around Helsinki. Great history lesson.

We are a group of 8 school leaders from Australia in Helsinki to visit schools. Arto is incredibly knowledgeable about this city, it's past and present. We learnt about the Finnish culture. Arto is a wonderful communicator, he's funny as well. Arto also included information and background to the education system here. We would highly recommend a walking tour with Arto.
