The Helsinki Cathedral (Helsingin Tuomiokirkko) is a really magnificent-looking classical building, particularly impressive on a fine day, against the blue sky background. Bring your camera and take some stunning pictures! Inside, it looks rather plain compared to some famous European cathedrals, but there is a...More

This Cathedral is right in the middle of Helsinki, and in a way dominates the city. Any body visiting Helsinki eventually visits it. It is a beautiful Cathedral, with its pure straight lines, the whiteness of its walls and its great domes. It is certainly...More

One of the landmarks of Helsinki, not to be missed. Actually I think the surroundings are nicer than the church itself which is not that spectacular on the inside. When weather is nice the stairs leading up to the church are very popular to enjoy...More

Nice church that is hard to miss as it is a top a hill marked by steepish stairs. The church is quite minimalistic inside but is a quiet and pensive spot.

Worth visiting if you pass as is an impressive building. Not that interesting or ornate inside but pop in for 5 minutes if you have time.

Its an imposing structure located at the Senate square. The white structure looks impressive and on climbing the stairs you get a good view of the Helsinki skyline.

There's a lot happening in this area. First the church. The exterior is obviously amazing, while the interior is more plain. Plan on 30 minutes. Below is the Crypt Café which is on the back side. A great place for a break, snack, and additional...More

From its location it dominates the area. Inside isn't as spectacular as you would expect but its worth a visit.

This imposing building has majesty rather than decoration. Inside it is relatively plain except for the beautiful organ. It is well worth the steep climb up steps, however, (shorter ar the side). The side entrance also has a ramp for wheel chairs but the steps...More

You can't miss this Cathedral, it is a prominent part of Helsinki skyline. Magnificent on the outside but very plain on the inside.

A beautiful place in the heart of Helsinki. This cathedral is the city’s symbol located in the central square. So beautiful 😍

But rather sober insider, could have been a bit more explanation, for example its use for official occasions

Sorry Catherine, but we visited Helsinki in August and didn’t think to ask about choral services.
