Great place to visit

This is one of two cathedrals in Helsinki. A must for a visit. It is very plane but the organ front is magnificent. Steps up so watch out. It is on one of the tour bus stops too

I'm from Finland living in Amsterdam. I visited Helsinki with my Dutch boyfriend and took him to see the Helsinki Cathedral. He thought it was a great place to see.

This is THE landmark of Helsinki. It is big, white and beautiful. It is hard to pick a postcard without it. If I bring you there and you don't even wanna see it, I will get very offended (true story!). It might be the first thing you notice when arriving by sea. Or at least if you come from Suomenlinna... Of course, you can´t miss it if you are in Helsinki. It is not far from centre. It was closed when i came there, but anyway it was nice.

This cathedral gets a lot more attention because of it's location, near a harbor and above Senate Square. The steps are a hotspot for tourists to relax a bit, but the church is fairly lackluster. It is free to enter, which is a bonus, but there isn't much to see once you go inside. You can stare up at the... More

Imposing dom, visible when approaching Helsinki by the see! The view to the city when you stand there is also fantastic! It would be ideal to visit and listen to the huge pipe organ if possible.

We walked passed it many times in our way to and from our hotel. The inside is quite bare but different from catholic buildings. Peaceful and enjoyable.

We visited Senate Square and the Helsinki Cathedral. The views from the Cathedral of Helsinki city were amazing. I was underwhelmed on the interior of this church.

Easy access from #4 tram; lots of steps; popular with tourists. About two blocks from the market, so easy walk. TIP: Bank/ATM (OTTO) is across the street.
