A bustling centre of activity. We saw people walking, music playing, gardens and statues. Great place to spend a hour enjoying the area.

The small park in the center right by the bay. See the fountain and the view to the marina pier. Watch the people walking around. Your pleasure guaranteed.

We really enjoyed our walk along the Esplanadi. Lots of people, locals and tourists, lots of shops, lots of lovely buildings...

Start at the Market, stop for coffee at Kapelli, and end at the Theater. Lots of public art, architecturally interesting buildings, street entertainers and people watching.

I loved walking through the Esplanade, with its gorgeous statues, music venues, cafes, and yes, polka-dot covered trees (an art installation this summer). The adjacent streets are so busy, and this part is a welcome respite.

This is a pedestrian friendly walk-way that is beautiful and full of people and musicians. It is right off the Market at the Harbour and is great for people watching or just "hanging out"

I can't imagine you could miss a walk through Esplanadi Park if you spend a day in Helsinki. It's where all the shopping meets the waterfront. The trees wrapped in red with white polka dots that teased an upcoming art exhibition added a fun touch. More a through-way, than a destination, but an interesting through-way with a beautiful, glass-house, Soviet-era... More

Great on a sunny day, especially in August during the food festival. You can try all sorts of delicacies and it is very central

Great place for a stroll while fending off jet lag! I was there on a Sunday afternoon & the park was full of immigrant vendors selling food from their home countries. Delicious smells. There's also a pretty tea house in the park. The promenade is flanked by upscale shops & cafes. A nice place to get some fresh air &... More
