Visitors out of town receive 10 per cent off for their entire shopping day - I purchased a Marimekko dress (very reasonable with the discount - was the cheapest on the rack). It has the classic brands that are everywhere and at exactly the same prices. You are not going to discover something new or something local. A designer jacket or dress that you can buy from your country's store, you will find it here at exactly the same price. I was happy to see a Stockman in Helsinki, besides the one in Montenegro and Estonia. All of 2hich had everything I need including perfumes, groceries and delicious freshly cooked food.
I never though I would ever buy meals from a supermarket but Stockmann changed my thinking. Stockmann in Estonia had the tastiest meals, widest selection, and cheapest prices. In Helsinki the meals we also delicious but less varieties and more expensive
This branch has beautiful interior and the top floor has many restaurants and excellent the shopping options.

Massive department store in the heart of the city less than five minutes from the central train station. The displays are stylish and all leading brands are available. The staff are exceedingly helpful. Lots of restaurants scattered across the 7 floors and the additional “basement “ which housed food like in a supermarket and also liquor. The food selections were extensive. The top floor houses an office which processes your receipts to receive your sales taxes back on the purchases we made when you leave the European Union. The bags were sealed with a tape and easy instructions provided on what to do at the final port of exit. This upscale store is a destination in of itself.

Good day, today I was in stockman Helsinki for my first time and got really upset and disappointed.
I came at 19 and left 21.30
I bought for almost 400 dollars for that time
And actually I could be much faster, because I knew exactly which two bags I wanted to buy.. Both of them were shown as being in stock..
Actually there were neither one, nor another in stock.
We were searching for other items together with staff, for about 6-7 positions (bags) were shown as being in stock, but nobody could find them. Salesmen from the 1A floor told me to go to the third floor for getting the DKNY bag, staff from the third floor was saying sorry, we see these positions as you do, they are supposed to be in stock, but they are not.
So, we spent for about two hours trying to get anything.
All that with my 5month old baby-finally crying, being tired and hungry after 2,5 hours of all that mess.
Please note, that I’ve spent my time before coming to find the items I want to buy
They were like “in stock”, but actually they were not.
I wasted 2 hours, got upset about that mess, got crying and tired baby and the bill at parking for 18 (!) euros!!
After all I had to deal with.
First of all, if there was the order in the site information my staying in Stockman should spent not more then 15 minutes, max 20 minutes
More than that, how do you inform your customers about the cost of the parking?
I meet such a miracle for the first time in my life-you come to buy and get the bill for the parking 🤦♀️
To be honest it is a shame
But even if you consider it to be normal, how do you inform the customers about that?
I did not see any information at the parking, as well as I was not successful to find it at the web site.
How should I know that the parking is to be paid for, even if I came as a client?
I shared that strange situation in Facebook, people told me I was supposed to get the discount when paying.. but how should I know that if I am not an extrasensory?
To resume:
1. 2,5 of wasted time because of information about the stock on the site does not match reality.
Crying, screaming, tired and hungry 5months old baby as a bonus.
2. Being very loyal I found and bought two bags, in spite of being very upset, annoyed and disoriented by this information chaos.
3. Finally I got the bill for 18 more euros, having no idea about how could I know about terms and conditions if there was no information about it anywhere..
4. And after that I figured out, that I could have at least 1 hour for free, save 8 euros, if I knew that I am supposed to tell the staff that I am driving…
Is not all that a shame and absurd?

Only visited their food section which is extensive. They have a small eatery there, but only served me soup because it was near closing time. It was salmon soup in a red colored broth with various green herbs, hot and delicious. The serving was large enough to be a whole meal. Didn't have time to return although it was close to where I was staying.

Whenever we are in other countries, we always like to go department stores as it’s interesting to see how they operate versus our own stores in the UK.
Stockmann is clearly a higher end store with many outlets and departments within the store of top brands as well as various dining options. The food store as expected is very good quality and has lots of choice & there is also an Alko next to it selling alcohol. The other interesting place we visited was a lovely secondhand shop which also included a cafe.
If you like shopping, particularly for clothes, then this is probably a must-visit store and easy given that there is so much choice all under one roof in an elegant, large store.

Stockmann has a long history starting in 1858. The current iconic building was built in 1930. It is the largest department store in the Nordic countries and the fifth largest in Europe.
This time, we didn't go inside. We were just looking at the Christmas display from the street. It has become a Christmas tradition for us and many others too.

The old most famous departments store of Finland has renewd its consept. Now consisting of several shop in shops with large variety of the most popular Finish artikles. Cosy atmosphere, nice restaurants one of the best grocery stores located in the basement level!

Impressed by the vastness and outline , it is said to be one of the biggest department store in Europe. To me it reminds such of that Gum complex in its neighboring country. Lots of big name retail. Expanding 6 floors and at the basement is also a huge supermarket. Only minor issue is that it was not cold enough inside. Other than that just go there for the experience.

OK, it is a department store, but it is really worth a visit. A really massive place with a huge variety of goods, much of it of the highest quality. Staff are so friendly, they love to have a chat while you browse. And, you never know, you may find something really good on sale !! I was lucky, I found a wonderful jacket, at less than a third of the price of a similar jacket in Melbourne! A great way to spend an hour or two, if you have the time!

Stockman's seems to be the largest and most prominent department store in Helsinki and provided good quality products in a modern atmosphere and high prices. Georg Franz Stockman, a German was a book keeper at a Nuutajarvi Glassworks store , became manager in 1859 and took over in 1867.If in Helsinki you cannot miss the store and worth a visit to see how the Fin's do it.

The Stockmann Delicatessen food department has an extensive range of products, and some of the products comply with kosher principles and requirements.
Unfortunately, Delicatessen does not have kosher meat in its selection, but the fresh fish counter might include some suitable options. In addition, Stockmann Delicatessen has an extensive selection of fresh vegetables and fruits as well as cereal products.
We encourage you to ask for more detailed information regarding the selection from Stockmann Delicatessen’s personnel during the visit.
