It is truly carved into a giant rock

Not much to look at from the exterior, especially the low drab concrete entry. Once inside, it all makes sense and really surprisingly beautiful and earthy

Amazing characterful church in the rock. Even though it gets busy with large coach trips, take the time to sit for a while and they will soon depart, and you might get to see a rehearsal for a wedding.

The Rock Church is very unique and appeals to both young and old. It is a Lutheran church designed in a semi-circular fashion and is deceiving from outward appearances. It is larger than it appears and the placement of the upper windows creates beautiful and soft light patterns throughout the church.

Not as impressive as our guide's intro meant it to be. It was ...nice. Quiet and relaxing at the end of the day.

First... I don't like churches with lots of gold used. Second... Cause of its stonewalls the church is so beautiful! It is perfect. You feel safety and calmness the first steps entering it! Third... It is a must see! After a long day or just to relax your feet... (you can even enjoy the sun on the "roof")

When approaching the Rock Church, I was unimpressed. However, that soon changed upon entering. What a unique church and atmosphere. Not only was it peaceful, but the music being played on the organ was beautiful. Take a minute to light a candle and enjoy your surroundings.

Lovely to see something so contemporary in design and yet blending in totally with its natural surroundings. Was very busy when we were there but there was still an air of peace and calm.

While this is certainly interesting, it is no more than a quick visit and you are done--not much to see.
