As a second generation Finn of immigrant grandparents, I wanted to take my adult daughters to Helsinki for them to experience their "homeland". Rather than stumble through guide books, I decided to hire a private guide to introduce us to Helsinki and to see the countryside. Niki met us at our hotel on our first day and we had a lovely 3 hour tour becoming oriented to Helsinki and seeing many highlights. On the second day, we visited his family's summer cottage on the Baltic Sea and experienced an authentic Finnish sauna. These 2 days set the stage for a wonderful Finnish experience in Helsinki. Both of my daughters had so much fun they are anxious to return. Niki is a fabulous young man with a wonderful sense of humor and many interesting stories about Finnish history and "back stories" to everything we visited. In my Internet search for a guide, I "stumbled" upon Niki's website and I am very pleased that I found him. I can recommend Niki with enthusiasm for anyone wanting to experience Helsinki and the surrounding countryside in a restful and informative manner. Our trip to Helsinki exceeded my expectations because of Niki.

Had an amazing day with Niki! From start to finish, everything ran like clockwork and I came away feeling like I'd spent a day with a great friend. We started off checking out some of Niki's favourite parts of Helsinki before heading to his family's seaside cottage, about 45 minutes away. The drive was lovely, through some beautiful countryside and when we got to the cottage it was picture perfect, set right on the water. The highlight though was the sauna, built by Niki's grandfather. Amazing being able to go from 80+ degrees to the water outside for a quick dip, and then back again, and having that whole experience to ourselves - something I'll never forget! Spent the rest of the afternoon chilling by the water and eating before heading back to Helsinki. As if the day hadn't already been amazing, we ended up checking out some great nightspots with friends - I can't decide if that was my highlight or if it was the sauna...I'll say it was both! Niki, you are an excellent host - and now, a great friend. Thank you for showing me your beautiful city, your family's cottage and your culture. If anyone's thinking of taking one of Niki's tours, I'd recommend it for sure. It will be a day full of great food, excellent company and happy memories.

Niki is the best possible tour guide you can have. He is a wholesome Finn who doesn't care about basic tourist bull***t. He will take you to his super modern cabin where you can swim and enjoy some SAUNA. He can also take you to the basic tourist attractions with a fun twist. If you are cool enough, he will party with you early to the morning.

Why not get in to deep Finnish culture and enjoy sauna. You can make it hot as you like to water on hot rocks. Aftter swim in fresh water, you feel like reborn. The best!

This was our favorite cruise excursion hands down. Niki and Petra went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. The food was excellent and the sauna/lake experience was amazing. Highly recommend using Niki if you want to get out of the city and see how the locals live. Shout out to the Jollas crew! Thanks again for making our experience memorable. We didn’t want to leave!
