We booked ground transport for six hours with a pick up time of 6am just outside of Rovaniemi. We searched high and low for a provider that was flexible enough to meet our needs and we are very glad that we found Easy Travel. Mark, our driver, was excellent. He was prompt, very polite, courteous and drove very well. The 90 minute trip to our destination and then back went quite quickly as conversation flowed easily. Mark provided some great insight to Finnish culture and history at our request. We would recommend these guys for any tour and/or ground transportation needs. We would definitely use them again

From CHF 232.63?? Are you kidding me? A ferry ticket costs like 20 Euro. So if you don't want to get ripped off you just book the ticket directly and save like 200 Euro.

We did not do an organised tour. We booked tickets with Direct Ferries and were given a choice of ferries and companies for the day we requested. We chose Eckero Ferry which operates from the new, smart West Terminal . It is served by 2 tram services from the city centre, so is easy to reach.
Do arrive early as the ferry we took left 15 minutes EARLY! The crossing itself was very smooth and we had no difficulty in finding seats (although it was more of a problem on the journey back). The café was popular and the food seemed good, although we only wanted coffee. Crossing took just over 2 hours, so we were in Tallinn by 11am.
The town is an easy 10 minute walk from Terminal A.
We returned on the 18.30 ferry. The terminal in Estonia is not so comfortable, especially as we were all herded together in a hot waiting room. Having said that we were allowed to board early and we sailed a few minutes early despite the ferry being very busy. Arrived back into Helsinki early. As we were rather footsore we chose to take a taxi back to the hotel (which was out of the city centre) rather than the tram.
Would certainly recommend this as a means of reaching Tallinn.

Is this a joke? This is a blatant rip off price, and people who posted this should be ashamed of themselves. Do yourself a favor and buy directly from the shipping company.

Pains me to write, but there was a lot of room for improvement here. The good--the company running the husky experience was awesome, and it was cool to see the reindeer. Our tour guide was very nice and had a lot of information.
Now the bad--we booked close to the date but it was available and we were hoping to make it work. It took the company more than the 48hr limit to confirm, so we spent time on our first day of our trip trying to confirm whether this was actually happening. At that point, the company requested our sizes for cold weather gear. There was no way to reply to their message, so i spent more time on the phone calling, then get an email address to send them our sizes. They emailed two more times after I confirmed requesting sizes again....we were never given cold weather gear nor was it mentioned (thankfully we dressed for the cold). We met in a hotel lobby and were there super early. 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time, I finally called the tour company. They said the guide was there...she was apparently standing at another door (inside, car was parked, totally free to look around. She was parked directly in front of where we were waiting and insisted that wasn't the front entrance...this was not a big hotel. If you're a tour guide regularly picking up out-of-towners and there are two prominent entrances to a hotel and you can't find your tour group, I think a good plan is to check them both. This wouldn't have been a big deal, but that 20 mins cut directly into our dog sledding time, which was what we'd paid for, so that was an avoidable letdown. Further there was no snow where the dogsledding was--obviously not within their control and the contingency plan was still fun, but I wish they'd told us this beforehand. We paid ~440 USD per person and unfortunately we both felt this was badly overpriced. At a lower price and with clearer communication, I would've rated this much higher. Wouldn't completely rule it out, but would say proceed with caution. Hopefully they can work out the issues because this could be great.

Dear Molly, thank you for the feedback. Confirmation takes longer since several providers are involved into this tour. Some are quicker than the others. We pushed all of them to confirm requested date and time for you asap. Indeed, we do pick-ups regularly from hotels. However, guide found you in a cafe part, not in the lobby next to reception. As far as I know, you stayed in another place and chose KÄMP hotel for pick-up purpose only.It could be the reason for delay. Please, correct me if this is wrong. Winter gear is available at husky farm for all visitors. This is part of the package and my appologies you were not provided promised outfits. On top of the promised activities our guide took you to Haltia museum in Nuuksio National Park. Hopefully, this small addition to your tour balanced outfit issue. We still hope positive experience overweighted and you had nice time with Arctic animals. Regards, Alisa Easy Travel Marketing Team

This was a great way to get to/from Tallinn. It is recommended to be at the boat dock early as the ship holds hundreds of people. Each level of the boat has something to offer from restaurants to live entertainment. You'll be able to find a place to relax for the 2 hour tour.

DO NOT BOOK this tour!! It is extremely overpriced! 305 Euros for myself, my husband, and my 8 year old. It was not even 2 hours and we only visited 3 places. As per the inclusions on the description we were to try different sausages and we were also supposed to be treated to champagne - neither of these happened. Instead we drank Prosecco - not a terrible alternative, but much cheaper than the champagne served at the restaurant. We never tried any sausage at all. We did try raw and smoked salmon and shrimp toast. My eight year old daughter does not eat fish, and there were no other alternatives offered. At the Kappelli restaurant, instead of a shrimp toast, I asked if instead she could have a croissant and this appeared to cause confusion with our tour guide who said the he ‘had to order shrimp toasts for everyone in our party according to the agreement with the company and the restaurant ‘. Finally after some lengthy dialogue, he ‘agreed’ to let her have a croissant. Our tour guide did not enlighten us with much Finland history (food history included), there was some, but not much....again considering the cost. He did cover a lengthy description of Finland’s recycling process...... He was a nice guy, but he should find another part-time gig (I’m sure this is not his full time job). Bottom line- I wish that I had my 300 Euro’s back. For a mere 30 Euro’s we could have all had something great to eat at the Old Market with some money left over for some chocolate or an ice cream.”

Dear Crystal, thank you for your feedback. I have contacted the guide - he is an authorized official Helsinki guide, as all our guides are. Kindly let me clarify some points with you: you said that the tour was less then 2 hours, while guide told me you have started a bit earlier - at 11:23 instead if 11:30 and ended precisely at 13:30, as it should be. So the tour was like 7 mins longer, then it is in the description, am I right? The second point - the tastings. In description we have inclusions: Food tasting & Glass of sparkling wine or juice. Food tastings are local cheese, fish and meat on the old market, shrimp toast and sparkling wine in a famous Kapelli restaurant (they call it champagne, but technically it is a sparking wine) and Fazer chocolate shop with sweets tasting. It seems like quite enough tastings, but we are working on adding more options for the next season. Regarding the champagne and different sausages - it turns out to be an old description on the TripAdvisor and we have a different one on the Viator (they are connected platforms) - so by the internal error the description wasn't updated on the TripAdvisor after the Viator's one. We need to fix it for sure. We also haven't heard from you regarding your food preferences - so we didn't have a chance to replace fish on our food tour for the young lady. All tastings are prebooked with the local suppliers and sometimes, specially, during the high season they don't have a chance to change something during the food tour. Nevertheless we apologies that out tour didn't met your expectations and would be happy to fix it with other tours we offer in Finland, Sweden, Denmark or Norway. Hope you had a nice time in Helsinki. Warm regards, Alisa from Easy Travel team

We did a day trip from Helsinki by Silja lines and booked a hop on hop off at Tallink for the day . It's a great trip, well organized and Tallink is a beautiful city . People are tourist friendly and there are loads of food options at all tourist areas .

Porrvoo does have some unique and historical buildings, most of which are utilized as boutique shops, B&Bs or restaurants. If you elect to visit, bring your credit cards if you plan to shop. This is NOT the place to seek out cheap tee shirts!

We did the Northern Lights Snowmobile safari on 20th January 2019. They picked us up from our hotel in Rovaniemi on time and took us to the venue where we changed into the appropriate clothing to keep us safe and warm. I will be honest, I was not looking forward to this trip at all as I was terrified of going on a snowmobile but my partner really wanted to do it.
We shared a snowmobile, my partner drove and I was the passenger as I didn't want to drive. It turned out not to be very busy and it was just myself and my partner with our own guide on a snowmobile in front. This was great for us. Our guide ( I think his name was Franz) took us to our snowmobile and showed us how to use it as we had never been on one before. It had heated handle bars which is good for the driver. Franz explained that accidents only happen when people get over confident and go too fast especially around corners. He also showed us hand signals to use if we needed to stop, slow down etc. As we set off I was petrified and my partner a little nervous as he hadn't driven one before. We ended up going so slow that we got stuck going round a corner as we didn't use enough power. Franz was very patient with us and explained we could go a bit faster and would be safe.
We drove for about an hour, driving through the most beautiful scenery which was simply breathtaking and over a frozen lake. I eventually began to relax as my partner got more comfortable driving the snowmobile and I just appreciated the stunning views. We stopped after about an hour and our guide built a campfire where we warmed ourselves up with a hot chocolate and warm cinnamon bun. My partner was a bit disappointed as the info we got did promise sausages over a campfire but I had emailed them as I am vegetarian so we ended up both getting a cinnamon bun instead. After warming up and the guide telling us stories about the Northern Lights ( we didn't see them that night as too cloudy) we headed off again on the snowmobile. The guide stopped to show us places of interest and it was honestly just the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. After about an hour we headed back which we were glad about as we were beginning to get cold. Our guide was worried as he thought we would be upset at not seeing the Northern Lights but we knew this was not guaranteed and were just so happy with the views and experience we had just had. Our guide Franz made this trip, he was so friendly and made me as a very nervous passenger feel safe. I ended up loving this trip and would go on a snowmobile again. I highly recommend this trip.
