I live not far from Emma so I visit almost every exhibition and it's always amazing. The exhibition centre has it's industrial heritage still visible i.e. plain concrete walls and columns. The interior gives a contrast to the arts exhibitions which can be anything modern...More

This is a very interesting museum of contemporary art. Always interesting exhibitions. This time surrealist art of Meret Oppenheim. Also a new exhibition of Wirkkala and Bryk. Great! Museum's basic Saastamoinen Collection is also fine.
Emma has some changing displays as well as some more permanent ones. They organise guided tours every hour or even more often that last only some 15 minutes to give you a better general idea of the artist and what they stand for. Free entry...More
Wirkkala & Bryk walk-in warehouse collection was impressive. Especially Wirkkala manages to catch true piece of Finnish soul. Modern art exhibition was nicely set (though I'm not a great fan of modern art).

I visited first time at EMMA&WeeGee at Wirkkala & Bryk exhibition opening. It is a unique extension to normal museum, as exhibition is partly a storage room. Wirkkala is one of the designers who have left largest recollection into life of Finns with his designs....More
