Worthwhile to visit if you visit Tapiola garden city anyway. There are four museums in the same building. The EMMA is the main museum and usually they have good exhibitions there. Depending on what they have on that day of course. The exhibition change time to time. Not necessarily a place to visit if you spend only few days in... More

An exhibition and one of the events celebrating the Bryk and Wirkkala anniversary opened at EMMA in May 2016, presenting an in-depth look into the extensive career of Rut Bryk (1916–1999). ( 12.05.2016 to 04.09.2016)

This was a family visit. EMMA consists of several museums all accessible with a single fee. Astonishing collection. Allow 4 to 8 hours. Good cafe restaurant on site, serves lunch.

One shouls definitely visit EMMA when in Espoo. The concrete building (ex print house) is really charming and the exhibitions are always well organized. Remember to visit the UFO house outside :) Only the cafe should be better

Worth the trip from Helsinki (there are several buses) out to EMMA, which is part of a complex with other museums in it as well. The special ceramics exhibit is in honor of the centennial of the artist's birthday. I learned a lot about her and what inspired her work. Her style evolved greatly over time--the exhibit had useful signs... More

Visited Emma on Sunday. The visit actually took more time than I had planned because the guides there were telling nearly too many interesting and fascinating stories about the artists and their paintings.I could not leave the museum before I had listened all stories and seen everything... I enjoyed the visit.

This is a very nice place to visit if you love museums and if you are on a budget you can even visit one of them (the watch museum) for free. Great stuff. There is always something going on and the exhibitions change regularly, the museum shop is also a great place to get souvenirs and they carry some cool... More
