We did the reindeer farm visit and ride - 2 adults and 2 children 7 & 3. From booking the communication was spot on, confirmation email straight away and then WhatsApp the next morning to confirm pick up time and location. The bus arrived on time and collect a few others before taking us to collect warm cloths. We then arrived at the farm which is located in the Forrest. The setting was stunning and we were met by a reindeer guide. They spoke to us about safety and then we got in the slay and was taken on the ride which lasted about 15/20 mins. For us this was more than enough as it was very cold. We were then given the opportunity to feed and pet the reindeer before moving into a hut with a log fire for a chat with the minder. He was very informative and clearly knew what he was talking about. From here we moved up to a restaurant for hot drinks and biscuits before getting the bus back. The whole experience was well organised and for me worth the money. I would definitely recommend.

We where picked up and droven about 30 minutes out of the City in a comfortable bus, to an big resort we where possible to see reindeer’s and Husky and one old man guide told us we can see auroras right away we arrived but we had our boy he was sleeping so we went inside and it was empty. Right away one man come and helped us with the baby tomorrow it to sleep on a sofa so we could enjoy the light without being worried about the baby. The man started to explain us everything about auroras I can’t remember everything (he told a lot) the. He gave us a little present to us we had one birthday kid and our baby was so well behaving so he got also he tool such amazing pictures I was kind a professional Fotograf he changed all settings on my camera I don’t know what he did but I will never change something again!!! next day this man was also our driver and he maid us hot drinks and told us everything about the reindeers and huskys. We asked his name because I wanted to know if this Fabyo, and yes he was it… he made this trips very special i think if book a tour you should ask for Fabyo to be your guide! Great tours I can tell you, it was a great time with NO interruption's thanks to Fabyo!

We did the 45 min husky safari with CHS. Organisation was bad. We came to the meeting point at the announced time, but there was no one. After waiting 15 extra minutes, we called and they explained that the activity would start later and that we are free to walk around for some more time before our pick up... We come back in about an hour, found a CHS rep who had no clue she had to pick us up or indeed any other member of the group, so a lot of time was wasted again on calls back and forth.
Eventually we got to the activity site. The dogs were adorable and did their job very well... not quite sure they are huskies though. The scenery was very nice as well.
After the activity we waited and waited again. We got warm juice and pastries, which were lovely, but were not explained anything about the dogs during this wait. The guide was just randomly chatting with some group members about their trip.
CHS really should improve organisation - pick ups and drop offs and post activity. We come to Lapland for a limited amount of time and I do not think it is acceptable to have hours wasted due to poor organisation for a 45 min activity. The more so when you travel with small kids. Delays, when they happen, should at least be communicated promptly. We had activities with other organisers during our stay and did not experience this with anyone else. So if I did it again I am afraid I would not chose CHS again.

We booked the northern nights tour last minute through Santa Claus village reception & pick up was on time in a big coach. They took us to a warehouse & gave everyone suits/boots etc. some people were not dressed appropriately - they said you must be warm you will be outside 2 hours (ended up being 10 mins)
I didn’t know what to expect really but I thought it would be more than what it was. We arrived at Christmas house & half the group went off to do their husky tour. We were pointed to an area where you could already faintly see the lights (better with a camera) this was about 9pm and that was it. I barely saw the guide for the next 2 hours, there was a host who was arranging food, I think hot dogs, I didn’t go see we were there for lights not food. We just sat inside on our phones, there was no chat about the lights no interaction nothing. The tour cost approx €179 for 2 of us so pretty sure I could have got a taxi to 1/2 hour outside of Rovaniemi took a quick picture then gone home instead of sat about for 2 hours waiting to go back. I did say don’t we go to other sites to get a better look. He looked at me incredulous. Maybe it’s just me? I was expecting more for that kind of money :(

Total rip off. We spent about 90 minutes on a bus (most of that waiting for a huge tour group to return their winter clothes, even though they weren’t part of the reindeer safari), and no more than 5 minutes on the reindeer safari. We learned nothing about the reindeer, the guides didn't tell us anything about the reindeer or the area, a bucket with food was left for us to take if we wanted to feed the reindeer but otherwise no interaction, and we were handed a hot cup of sweet juice to wait for the bus again. We also had an impossible time finding our guide at the meet up location and thought we had missed the trip. In all we were gone from 12;45 to 3:15, spend 20-30 minutes waiting around, 5 minutes on a sleigh, and the rest of the time on the bus.

Unfortunately I booked it through the site of Santa Claus village thinking that they would be the best. Yes Lenni, Jarkkopeaks and some other main guides as well as the reindeers and dogs were nice but the experience was not worth it unless you have small children and don’t want to have different time in length and places activities. We ended going to the exact same spot every time spend 2 min with the reindeers, two minutes with the dog ride and the rest for clothes and in a restaurant . Of course we didn’t see the lights as we went again to the same spot same restaurant same everything but in the night and waited if we had luck which doesn’t work like this as I found Bookaland and other agencies that do longer rides so as to see them. Have to pay again to do something that would be good to have done from the start and don’t waste money and time ! So for adults that want to enjoy no I don’t recommend

Waste of money & poor management and customer experience
Family of 6, 3 adults and 3 children (5,8, & 9).
We paid over 1100 Euros for the artic fun day, with the expectation there would be a reindeer ride for 30 minutes and a husky ride for 10 minutes. The rides were 5 minutes for the reindeer and 2 minutes for the huskies. I asked the lady on the huskies stop if we could have another round as my youngest daughter of 5 wanted to go again, to be told no. I tried to raise my concern at the farm and was asked to speak with management at the main Santa Claus Office, which I did as soon as I was back, to be informed management would call me to discuss my concerns. Next day, no call, so I went back to reception and asked again to speak to someone, again, still waiting no call. Terrible customer experience and a complete waste of money. I could have went with a different provider, or even stayed on site at Santas village. It’s a shame to receive such a terrible follow up service, especially when this was a dream experience for my kids. I would put 4 stars generally as the staff were nice at the farm and the kids still had fun. Just a shame management don’t act the same as their staff.

15 minute sleigh ride at the walking speed of the guide for $200 and 3 hours of my day. I would have rather spent my time and money on something else. Spent most of the 3 hours waiting on a bus. The warming hut with roasted marshmallows was the best part, but not worth the hassle of getting there. They didn’t pick me up in Rovaniemi because I didn’t stay at one of the listed places. My emails with questions went unanswered. I researched tons of places before; they all seemed similar. The cool idea of this activity doesn’t match the actual experience.

They have a great team of workers who pay attention to every detail to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. Each of them ensures your well-being and enjoyment, offering their help and anything else they can do for you. Excellent human treatment. Special mention to Fabio, but also to others like Nina and Julia (if I recall correctly), and those whose names I don’t remember a worker who spoke perfect Spanish and a very kind young man. Truly, all of them, Not just the ones I mentioned, were fantastic (hahaha), amazing.
The excursions are well-organized, with thoughtfully planned activities and offerings like drinks or snacks.
The northern lights experience is remarkable; they take you to a private property—an idyllic spot with a frozen lake (depending on the season) where the sky is perfectly visible. Amazing photos are taken there, and they help you set up your camera for the best shots if needed.
And I agree with many of the reviews: if I go again, I would choose them.

A terrible experience, we paid €1090 for two safaris for two adults and two children. Safari with the kidneys, they took us 5 minutes to walk with the reindeer, and then to see their hunger which was not at all welcoming, but it seemed like a private stop.
Second safari was Husky rider lasting 3 hours, instead we did the fast walk with the Huskies for 20 minutes, at the beginning they left us our sleds because no one came to free the dogs from the rope, so others left and we remained! So in the end the duration of walking with Husky was 20' but not 45' as per their description. And the Safari was started at 2.30pm from the hotel and returned at 4.15pm. In all that time we only had 20 useful minutes, the welcoming and polite staff was missing.
Unfortunately very bad experience.
