We did the 45 min husky safari with CHS. Organisation was bad. We came to the meeting point at the announced time, but there was no one. After waiting 15 extra minutes, we called and they explained that the activity would start later and that we are free to walk around for some more time before our pick up... We come back in about an hour, found a CHS rep who had no clue she had to pick us up or indeed any other member of the group, so a lot of time was wasted again on calls back and forth.
Eventually we got to the activity site. The dogs were adorable and did their job very well... not quite sure they are huskies though. The scenery was very nice as well.
After the activity we waited and waited again. We got warm juice and pastries, which were lovely, but were not explained anything about the dogs during this wait. The guide was just randomly chatting with some group members about their trip.
CHS really should improve organisation - pick ups and drop offs and post activity. We come to Lapland for a limited amount of time and I do not think it is acceptable to have hours wasted due to poor organisation for a 45 min activity. The more so when you travel with small kids. Delays, when they happen, should at least be communicated promptly. We had activities with other organisers during our stay and did not experience this with anyone else. So if I did it again I am afraid I would not chose CHS again.

Amazing experience, highly recommended!!
The staff were really friendly from the start, especially compared to other experiences in Lapland. You got the sense that the people guiding you through the day actually genuinely wanted to provide a good service and experience. Simple little things like coming over to offer help without being asked, offering to take family pictures (with your camera/phone) etc. really made the experience pleasant. At the end of the trip they went the extra mile and offered the kids a go on snow mobiles for free - really, really kind and appreciated by all families and kids alike.
The trip itself is amazing and great value for money compared to other activities in Lapland. We did the "Arctic Fun day" and it was without a doubt the most enjoyable part of our entire trip - yes including Santa visits!!! You get to engage with Huskies, go on a fun Huskey ride (Fast and Bumpy) , go on a more sedate and relaxing Reindeer ride and top the day off with ice fishing!
All in all a great day and one to definitely add to your 'must do' list!

The only thing we can't recommend, is the reindeer safari. We really compared the different tours in advance and decided for a relatively long one - a 3 hours farm tour with 45min of reindeer sleight. In total we had 25 min of sleight experience, the rest of the time we spent in the bus or drinking hot tea.

We did their Artic Fun Day, but it was not as advertised. The Husky ride was 5 minutes not 20 mins. The reindeer ride was 10 mins not the 30-45 mins promised. It was chaotic. No one had an my idea what was going on. Too many people. And owner was rude when I (and others) complained.

Stayed in Santa’s village. We did Ranua zoo, reindeer and husky ride and northern lights tour. Our guide Juha has only just started but we got along with him super well, very nice and chatty and told us more about his Country and how he grew up. Although the night to see the northern lights was very snowy and cloudy it should’ve been cancelled!!! So we booked again to see if we had a chance but cloudy again so Shame we didn’t see them but the guides were so lovely on tour.

We went for one of their trips and had a great time. The staff is lovely and the activities are fun.
And if you get the guide Fanny you are in for a treat! She really went the extra mile throughout the trip.

We did three tours with Thomas this week. He is an absolute gem. He interested with our kids and went over the top to keep them entertained and engaged. He absolutely made our trip.

Wow what an amazing day! The staff at Christmas House Safaris were brilliant, helping with booking enquiries from the UK arranging pick up from our hotel - Winter Wonderland - nothing was too much trouble.
The day itself was magical. The Artic Fun Day lasted for five hours and included reindeer ride, husky meet and ride, Ice fishing and lunch. We also got to toast marshmallows by the fire. The kids said it was the best day ever! Well done CH Safaris - great experience day which ti led all the Lapland bucket list boxes

The Northern Lights trip is expensive to sit in the freezing cold for a sausage & a hot drink. What we did we could have done it in our own. Not much interaction with the tour guides as they kept to themselves.
