There are some interesting shops and restaurants. I would head toward Kungsportsplatsen though for shops (same street right across canal). If you are in the area and need groceries the Coop is ok, small, and do remember they don't sell anything but 3.5% beer in...More

A street that the locals might have mixed emotions about, but it simply doesn't matter - there is no Gothenburg without Avenyn, the city's main artery. A must see for any visitor.

This part of town has clubs, restaurants, a great public library, performance theaters, and fine public statues and sculptures. It does not have the same historic feel as central Gothenburg but is it very nice.

This street is "a must" for every visitor to Gothenburg and it is probably included in the most travaler's guides. As always, the best things are for free so count on to spend at least 2-4 hours if you want to go along this street...More

Hi, Where will you be docked? I think you can walk. Perhaps it will take 30-40 minutes. Otherwise we can recommed our trams. Wonderful way of seeing Gothenburg. Sincerely, Avenyn
