About
Join in on a guided tour in a classic Volvo PV car (built from 1947 to 1965). You can choose to be either the driver or passenger in one of these majestic motor cars. Travelling in a convoy the tour guide drives the first car and keeps in touch via microphones with the cars behind. Our tours start from the Novotel hotel at Klippan and take you on an hour and a half's entertaining trip through time in Gothenburg.

If you are coming to see Goteborg for the first time or the 20th time, this is an activity to NOT miss! I have been coming to Goteborg every year for over 40 years and I saw parts of the city that I have never seen before.....in STYLE! The experience of driving around in a beautiful, old volvo with an english speaking driver telling us as much as he could while driving stick shift, pointing to certain attractions and talking on his CB radio in Swedish for the cars following behind. It was so personable and educational. Not only did we have such a lovely time, but it was very apparent that the people of Goteborg got great joy watching a line of 4 Volvo relics drive on by. I would recommend this to everybody. The price was excellent, too! Don't pass up this very unique experience, I say ;-)
From a happy Minnesotan.

I had looked at the website last year but assumed it was a short tour that would be extremely expensive. I was wrong on both counts; it was a very comprehensive tour round most of Gothenburg's quartets which came into being or were prosperous in the time of the PV444 & PV544 (1945-1965 Volvo cars) production. It threw many parts of the town which I had passed through time and again before into a whole new light, great background and snippets of info I hadn't heard even on other tours. Peter the tour guide had his work cut out due to doing the tour both in Swedish and English at the same time, he managed this very valiantly and with great humor. There is a book of pictures, both postcards and Volvo adverts of the time in the cars which Peter talks you through. If you would like to drive even if you are not a confident driver the low speeds means as long as you drive quite regularly it is ok. I wouldn't recommend driving if you are timid driver - let the guide do the driving. Highly recommend this tour for all, especially Gothenburg, Volvo, classic car enthusiasts, and those that like to do something a little different from the norm.

TL;DR: check out my vlog: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uR_cS_FiNDQ
This was so much fun! A little pricey, 490kr for two, we're young adults so to us it is haha. But I have to say I was impressed. They don't really have an English guide, but because we were driving with the guide, we got a 'private' and intimate time with the guide speaking in English! He was so nice and it was so interesting, historical and fun! You can even drive these old cars! I didn't because I don't drive stick shift so yeah haha.

This has got to be the best tour ever of Gothenburg. We were little apprehensive about driving on the other side of the road, no power steering, traffic etc but none of that mattered when we were given an array of fab clothes to dress in and followed a very amusing Christian who clearly had no concerns about driving his beautiful old Volvos.
Couldn't recommend this highly enough. So much fun

We loved our Time Travel tour with Christian! My husband loved driving the vintage Volvo, and Christian's commentary was delightful. We definitely saw parts of Gothenburg that we would've missed. One of the highlights was stopping in a square and seeing the response of locals. They wanted to take photos of the cars and talk about their personal history with Volvos – it was really quite extraordinary. Do not hesitate to book this very special experience at an extremely reasonable price!

Traveling through time in a Volvo PV and learning more about Volvo, Sweden and of course Goteborg. The guide is excellent and funny at the dame time. We got a great sense of the city, saw all the major sites and enjoyed driving around ourselves in these lovely restores cars. A visit to Goteborg cannot be complete without this tour

Thank you for your nice review!
We put a lot of effort into keeping the old cars in good shape. I know our guide Peter will be happy to read this!

A great way to see Gothenburg! We were only staying a couple of days, and this tour gave us a chance to visit parts of town we would never have seen otherwise. The car was fantastic to drive (watch out for the trams!), and the commentary from our guide was very informative. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Gothenburg.

I booked this tour as a surprise for my husband and he loved it. It was good fun and very informative. If you don't want to drive you can book the guides car which means you are also at the front. The cars are in excellent condition and surprisingly comfy. Highly recommend.

What a good tour! We were guided and looked after by Peter who introduced us to five classic Volvos, all lovingly restored, which we drove in stately fashion in convoy around Gothenburg. He was entertaining, suitably quirky, knowledgeable and a complete enthusiast. Driving the cars was an event in itself, around the carefully chosen route.

Over exceeded in every way! We laughed from start to finish and is by far the best way to explore the fabulous Gothenburg!
Our tour guide was kind, funny and made our trip throughout time an amazing experience.
Could not recommend this enough.
The cars are wonderful! Even as someone who is not a vintage car enthusiast, I could appreciate their beauty. The information along the way was great. We saw the city and learnt along the way. Loved the picture book and the commentary. We felt safe and happy the whole time.
HUGE thank you to Cristian for a brilliant day.

Hi I will be in Copenhagen from June 8th to 14th and free to travel after that till June 19th. I am contemplating the best places to go, but not a rush trip. Could I have suggestions of under-rated places in Sweden? Would it be best to spend 2 nights in Sweden and 2 nights in Oslo, or best to have a nice slow trip of 4 nights in Sweden?
Appreciate your tips.

Enjoy your time in Copenhagen and then take the train to Göteborg, the second largest city in Sweden. Here you can take boat trips in the beautiful archipelago and spend time in the city with shopping, museums, restaurants and live music from many scenes. And spend some time in Liseberg, Scandinavias largest amusement park with their lovely gardens. four days is perfect for exploring Goteborg with surroundings. check out Goteborg on internet.
