    Good for a calm walk
A calm and ejoyebla park with alot to see. This is used by the locals as well to just enjoi the park. It was calm and relaxing. We enjoied going into the houses and loook at the palms and greeneries. So it is worth a walk if you are evere in Gothenburg

I found this park while exploring the city on a self guided walking tour, what a lovely surprise. The range of color/textures/varieties of the flowers/plants in the garden made for an enjoyable stroll. I had a peaceful walk through this park and left with an appreciation for the work that goes into maintaining the gardens.

Nice small park, Palmhuset is nice, Rosetum not well maintained
The park is close to the city center. Nice spots to relax and walk. Palmhuset (a building with palms and other plants from more sounthern regions), is interesting. The Rosetum is not well maintained and a bit disappointing. One evening we have been invited to leave the park due to early closing (5 pm), maybe for some event.

    Lovely afternoon stroll
Really lovely gardens good for a nice stroll, the palm green house is nice but I wish there were more displays to explain about each plant. Similarly there’s some interesting art sculptures around the gardens but couldn’t find info on them. But overall a nice afternoon stroll

We visited this interior garden on a winter rainy afternoon. Beautiful and diverse, the gardens are organized by type of climates. We enjoyed the variety of plants, trees, flowers, mosses...
However, a lot of the instructional panels were only in Swedish (a bit complicated for people just learning the language)

Spending a weekend in Gothenburg alone and waiting for museums to open (11.00 hrs) I had a stroll in this tranquil park. Nicely held, beautiful flowers etc. Good place to meditate - or simply just think.

You won't need more than an hour to wander around the park and see the lovely plants within the building but it's definitely worthwhile. Free entrance to both and right in the centre of town. Plenty of ducks and paths to explore.

Recommend this for a beautiful garden to stroll through or stop and have a picnic. We walked through this park on our way to the waterfront to take a free commuter ferry that was recommended by our hotel.
What a beautiful spot, so many amazing plants. There are greenhouses you can go in and see more! There is a lot to see.
We even discovered a spot where you can borrow a sun chair and a book! Lots of local people enjoying the sun and some having lunch.
Amazing oasis in the city.

Visited this park a few times during our stay in Gothenburg. It was winter time so a lot of what you would see in summer was not possible but the grounds are really nice, it is clearly really well kept. The playground for children was really good, plenty for them to do and kept them entertained for a while.

We went into the Greenhouse area which was actually pleasantly surprising. Lots of different flowers, plants and trees and actually spent quite a bit of time in there, even our young children enjoyed it.

Definitely worth a visit even if it is just a walk through on a nice day. I imagine it is even better during the spring and summer months.

The gardens were right across from our hotel (and right near the Central Train Station), so any time I had a very minutes, I would walk over and explore. Like the locals, we took a meal over and picnicked. Very beautiful with excellent displays and information.

Wonderful gardens right in the city centre and near the main transport interchange for access to all areas of the city. Lovely cafe near the rose garden and water feature. The tropical house is a bonus.

We came here for the children to enjoy some play time at the playground we had been told about. I can confirm it is a great playground for little ones, very colourful, full of different types of elements, in the middle of beautiful plants and flowers, making it one of the prettiest playgrounds I’ve ever seen!
It’s next to the horticultural gardens of course which we didn’t check out as we were running out of time but I’m sure it’s worth a visit.
Also a big cafe/lunch spot nearby.
And bonus - in the city center.
