Gustov Adolfs Torg, Kungportsplatsen, and Grönsaks Torg are among many squares in Gothenburg where many tram and bus lines meet. They are all within walking distance of one another and surrounded by many sites of interest, shops, restaurants, and bakeries, and cafes. This square and...More

The Gustav Adolfo statue is in the centre of Gothenburg and takes prime position in a square centre. The statue is near the canal and local bus and tram stops so you will pass it and it is worth a photo.

I love this Square because of its few hidden gems, mostly the map of the old city of Gothenburg right beneath our feet. Near to the statue, if you look at the ground, you can see that in a large spot, different tiles were used....More

What can you say about a statue in a square? It commemorates the legend that the King pointed to this spot and said build the city here. He has an engaging smile.
