Plenty of variety and eating establishments. We visited on a couple of occasions as we were staying close by. Did not like walking back through to hotel after hours. Seemed to be a lot of youth hanging a bout. A few beggars during the day, but overall a great shopping complex during opening hours.

It does has a train station mall feeling. So not totally my cup of tea. It would help to have a map of the stores before hand....

First of all, I would do my shopping here during daylight hours and hold closely to your purse or wallet. It is very crowded. I didn’t have any problem, but felt a little challenged. I found this mall helpful in several ways: 1) there is a handy McDonalds at one of the entrances, 2) they had wi-fi, 3) there is parking underneath, 4) there is a grocery store (Hemkop) on the main level that has an escalator to the lower level for a variety of grocery needs, 5) there is a tourist information kiosk in the middle of the mall, 6) they have ATM’s, 7) they have an ECCO shoe store, 8) at the opposite end of the mall from McDonald’s, there is a small shop that sells nice kitchen equipment and supplies, and finally, 9) The Ahlen’s department store there carries pens made in Sweden by Ballograf...pens are small gifts to take home as souvenirs for your friends...they have a wide price range...you can find them in the office supply department at the back of the store. Ahlen’s also carries luggage for sale just in case you over buy!!

Dirty and dodgy place to go shopping. Many Arabs selling drugs and smoking in doors which was surprising along with the air of danger. The toilets are very expensive and filthy. Keep away!

Not worth it unless you need clothes, toys, sports goods, Asian grocery store.
Toy store Lekia fair, Asian grocery store downstairs is great for Asian food needs and cravings.

Mall is a little boring and closes too early on sat/sun.

Meh.

If you are for some reason have some free time at Gotheborg, do not hesitate to visit the Nordstan Department Store. You can easily find it near Central station by passing a quick tunnel directly to the store. BTW, being passing the tunnel, you can see Swedish "kids wishes boards". Thousands of small postings shows a modest wishes of young Sveds. Enjoy!!

The Nordstan is amazing place to shop!
But when I went to have dinner at Mc Donald's at 8:15, there were a group of people who came and sat opposite to me and trying to get trouble with me( not Swedish guy's for sure). I ran out of the mall to find police already handling some guys.
So be careful, because except that Sweden is very safe.

Nordstan eller Femmanhuset is Gothenburgs largest shoppingcenter with lots and lots of different stores, cafés and restaurants as well as other services like pharmacys ans banks.

I would not recomend "Femman" any longer as there has been a major rise in pocket thieves and gangs of younger teens in and around the shopping center who swarms visitors making you feel very uneasy at best and robbed at worst.

I recomend the shopping centeters outside Gothenburg like Allum, Kungsmässan or Freeport instead.

Nordstan is the world's worst place, it's pure hell to walk through this overcrowded inferno of pointless consumers.

As the days pass, the mall is worst and worst. You say "it can be any worst" but it can. It started with a few beggars and a couple of youngsters, but at this moment even the "vards" are a part of it.
From the rudeness of the sales persons, to the people that are very aggressive in wanting to convince to change your religion. To the pickpockets to the underaged that are smoking and drinking outside at the entrance under the understanding eyes of the policemens and/or "vard"s. From the stones that are stoning under the same eyes of the "order" people to the "vard" that show off how great he is.
It is a place where I was going for some fun or new show or to have a good cup of coffee but now I am prefering other spots. And i don't think I will go back soon.
