One of few places in Gothenburg area where you can view and experience history. Guided tours are excellent.

The only scotish castle in Sweden and the largest arts- and crafts movement! The castle is magnificent with the original furniture from the Dickson Family. The garden is amazing, so beatiful all year. The worker's village "hotel" are very cute, the restaurant Storstugan serve lovely pastries and food and the souvenir shop have nice things to remember Tjolöholm. Just love... More

The interiors are very impressive. Don't forget to take a walk around the garden. You can bring a picnic or... More

A beautiful place for family's and couples. Interesting history about the castle and stables. Great garden and a nice place to spend the day. Also possible for a swim in the ocean and places for barbecue. Bring a picnic.

I particularly loved the Blind Begger painting. The tour was in Swedish but I had a friend who was translating to me the entire time and the castle does... More

This was a cool place to visit. They only do the guided tours in Swedish though. BUT we got very lucky as there were no Swedes in our group and the guide agreed to do it in English. Some interesting facts pertaining to the castle.

A very well preserved bit of Swedish history. Wonderful surroundings and lovely nature. The tour in the castle is very interesting and show the visitor a nice mix of interior and types of rooms, with interesting facts about the building it self.
