Tylösand is a must visit place for individuals/couples/families. It’s so nicely clean & original sand beach. Energy around the beach is awesome. You can also spot many jellyfish in the water. My kids played for many hours without even knowing. Shower & toilet are also very clean which is add-on experience. In a nice weather it is a good place to spend time. Overall highly recommended.

Tylösand is the number one summer attraction of Halmstad. This is where people from all of Sweden (and the world) gather on a sunny day for sun and salty baths. Down by the hotel it can get very crowded. This is also where the in-crowd and yongsters gather. The plus side of this is that it is close to everything and most importantly, close to the after beach at Tylösand hotel. If you get tired of just being on the beach you can also discover the beautiful surroundings by taking a walk on Prince Bertil´s Path or play golf on some of Swedens best courses (both miniature and full size) or have a bite to eat in one of the many restaurants by the beach.

If you walk Prince Bertils Path to the left (having Tylön on your right) after a few ups and downs you should get to a small bay called Tjuvahålan (Thieves hole) where smugglers used to land their goods. This is a bay perfect for the childrens family as you can keep a good eye on the small ones and they can swim, play in the sand and engage in the favorite beach activity of Swedish children, crab fishing.

The further away from the hotel ( to the right facing the ocean) you get the less crowded the beach is and it goes on for a couple of kilometers, so there's plenty of room for everyone. The beach has little to offer in terms of water sports. There is a kite and surf center and some beach volley nets, but that's about it.

All in all Tylösand offers something for everyone, from sun bathing to golfing, partying, swimming, volleyballing, to crab fishing and is really the perfect place to be on a warm summers day.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the beach and its infrastructure
No toilet facilities, kiosk was still closed at 12pm
Flamingo bar tasteless and old
....seaweed everywhere on the beach
I've never seen a construction fence on the beach before...🤔

Just a short beach with nothing to do in winter time. Mellbystrand 28 km from is really nice beach. Its over 18 km and really nice landscape. Here you need to see Lagan, and if you have luck you can see the Salomon jumping and the grey moos walking around.

Probably Sweden's best sand beach. 5 miles long, white sand and pine trees above the dunes. There are a lot of people visiting the beach during July in particular but as beautiful during the winter. One of the nice things about Tylösand is its location with a fantastic sunset over the small island of Tylön.

Do NOT swim to Tylön but if you get the chance, go with a both for a swim, some nice snorkeling or a walk at the island. It is bigger than it looks like from land.

During the summer, go an enjoy the after beach at Hotel Tylösand. It starts at 16.00 but if the weather is nice you should be there earlier on a Friday or Saturday.

Top time beach in Sweden. It’s a long beautiful beach with restaurant, walking paths, mini golf and golf close by. It can be a lot of people on sunny days but it’s a big beach so not everywhere. It’s a very hectic and fun after beach in the afternoon, very popular, so be there waaaay earlier maybe an hour before it starts to be able to sit down or to even be able to get a place to stand

Fantastic beach to stroll along when the weather is unconfortable for sunbathing or bathing. Wonderful big wawes are rollin in the strong wind.. The Kite-surfers are there to show their fantastic tricks and the "Bay-watch" - lifesavers are out training. Shops and restaurants nearby and toilets too.

On a warm summer day you better arrive early to find a parking spot, otherwise take the bus from town center. Spend the whole day at the beach and then go over to Hotel Tylesand and listen to live music at the After beach event.
