Silverfallet's nature reserve is one of the most beautiful I've visited in Sweden. Great for walks and picnics and of enormous cultural and historical interest as well as having fascinating geology. Definitely worth a visit to those in the area.

Silverfallet is beautiful, especially now in spring, when the forest looks like a green carpet full of white and blue flowers. Just be careful: there are many steep stairs, and the path might be wet and slippery. I would recomment to start the walk from the upper parking and then go down. Be prepared that the waterfall is not the... More

Several waterfalls actually, one more beautiful than the other. Very easy too reach by car, though the address of trip advisor didn't match, better use Google. Now in March with lots of water!

Lovely waterfalls with a total fall of 60 m. Cool in the winter with the ice that is created by the flowing water. Around the waterfall there are meadows with beautiful flowers in the spring and summer, which makes the spot perfect for a picnic. In the area you can also see remains from the old alum industry with signs... More

A nice place to visit.. Easily approachable by bus from Skovde central station (get down at karlsfors).. Surprised to see no sign board on the main road.. No shops/ hotels / restrooms nearby..

This has been a place close to the heart since childhood. We went quite often on daytrips. Lovely ruins and infoplates to read about them, and it is wonderful to walk up the waterfall stairs in early summer. Wonderful nature and a lovely place to be.

Visited on a sunny weekday in early autumn. Lovely place and the drive here from Skövde was just as amazing. Wonderful scenery through the marvellous rolling hills of Western Götaland. Well worth the time if your in this area. Oh, and don't forget your picnic basket as there are no amenities. Signs explaining the history in and around the area... More

There are many amazing places in Sweden which are generally unknown to the world, and Silverfallet is one of them. A natural reservation fairly close to Skovde, this magical place features an idyllic waterfall and ample opportunity for a walk in the woods. If you go there, you will get fresh air, the sounds of the wood and the waterfall... More
