Currently at a gliding competition at Uppsala and due to the weather the day was cancelled. After a brief search on line this little museum came up and was only an hours drive away. The website looked interesting so a couple of us went. As I said it’s only a small collection but boy is it interesting there is a collection of most of SAAB’s military jets several vintage jets and also several airworthy vintage aircraft there as well. We go once a year. Good prices, food, and lots of jets! you can sit in some cockpits. Its a pretty big hanger. I think they have about 20 aircraft on display and a lot of models.

We've been there twice for last year and will be vising more. There are a lot of planes and information (in Swedish only) about old planes. We spend there longer time then we expected, around 3,5-4 hours. Tips: * there are one or two planes that you are allowed to get in to. * there is a flight simulator activity ( it needs to be booked in advanced). we watched some people "flying", it looked cool…

Very informative! The museum dedicated flight and aviation history. It was created in the CVV Hangar at the former Swedish Air Force base in 1997. The museum also hosts a simple non aircraft specific flight simulator and four aircraft simulators that have been used in pilot training. The museum is open on Sunday 11.00-16.00.
