Quite small area of traditional botanical gardens, with a large part of the place being the strict symmetry of the old castle gardens. Well arranged and diverse for the size. Did not have a chance to visit any indoor attractions as they were all closed...More

In Uppsala it’s easy to get spoiled with the small but superb Botanical Gatden as well as Linnés Hammarby and the Linnaeus Garden. The Botanical is small but educational and very well maintained. The enclosed café is nice as well.

From the castle, you can head down on the other side of the hill through the Linneanum, with its nicely laid out garden though not at its finest as it was still winter.

We found this gem in the heart of Upsalla. It is worth an hour or two of your time to walk and enjoy the grounds. Plus, free parking for the gardens!

The gardens are beautiful and on a hot summer's day they were a blessed relief. A good range of plants and garden types - especially interesting if, like me, you come from a warmer climate. The cafe is excellent as well with nice coffee and...More
