As a guide and tour operator on culture and nature all over the world, the name 'Linné' always was present in my mind as the creator of the binominal laitin nomenclature, which I had to deal with, whenever I studied a plant or an animal....More

I find the lives of exceptional people fascinating and Linnaeus is a hero of mine. The house is very interested, we didn't venture into the garden because I visited with friends who were insufficiently interested to pay the entrance fee but next time I shall...More

This place gives you a real feel for the life, work and times of Linneaus - one of Uppsala's most famous residents. Worth a visit - only takes a hour or 2.

Nice garden with beautiful flowers and historical objects from Linnaeus time (for example, monkey houses up on poles!). Gift shop and exhibitions in addition to the museum. Normally, you have to pay for entry which is unfortunate. Great location for a wedding dinner though (catering...More

Sweet little gardens in the centre of Uppsala, although there was not a great deal to see the gardens provided a calm environment in the centre of town. The house provides an interesting insight into Linneaes' life and work.

Dear Jay P, I suspect you may have visited the Botanical Garden where the Linneanum is, and not the Linnaeus Garden. Linnaeus is everywhere in Uppsala, so it sometimes gets confusing. We are happy to read that you had a relaxing visit. Best regards, Anna...More

I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the garden. The large parterres are laid out strictly in the order of Carl Linnaeus's sexual system using his work Hortus Upsaliensis of 1745 as a template. The ponds are laid out according to natural habitat...More
