Located in a nice area of Örebro. The city has published a game for people to answer questions about sites and this statue is included.

This statue from 1865 is located at the western part of the Stortorget square opposite the neo-Gothic style town hall.
Engelbrekt Engelbrektsson (1390-1436) was the leader of the Engelbrekt rebellion in 1434 against Eric of Pomerania, king of the Kalmar Union.
On our visit, there was some construction work going on next to the statue.

This is just a statue in the street. I stopped to take a couple of pictures. Its nothing special, but I love the area around it – a pedestrian street with cafes and restaurants spilling out onto the street.

Another statue of an "important" man. Boring. I didn't even find any information.
This kind of statues are just a waste of space. Make something interesting of it. Add information, make something special.
The area around the statue is nice with a lot of restaurants and people moving by.
At least he had an axe and not just the usual sword, that's why he gets an 2 instead of 1 in rating.

take a nice walk through town and see this beauty. I love these kind of sites. The walk was so peaceful and lots of places to eat during the stroll.

It's not that special, just a monument of a Swedish hero, but the whole square is quite nice, with some interesting buildings.

A monument of the national hero, on the main square, right next to the pretty city hall. It's good to know the history behind this man, the monument itself is regular, but the area is nice.
