This museum shows you the castle that preceded, and served as a basis for the current Palace. It even contains firewood storage that is still in use. Getting an interpretation of the pre-fire history of the palace/castle, and seeing the relics was very enlightening.

Brings you down below ground where the palace walls used to be. There are assorted artifacts from the medieval era, and some interesting scale models. The lighting is suitably dim, so you feel more immersed.

Here down in the basement you will find this nice museum about the old castle that burned down. Very well presented!

This is a museum of the history of the castle that came before. We walked through rather quickly as the ticket was included in the Palace entrance fee. There are lots of medieval facts and items to see.

Inside this basement, you get a small taste of the history of the original castle before it burned down. And how it was defended in ages gone by. Location is in the royal palace of Stockholm. (Gamla Stan) It is well equipped for disabled people....More

This Museum focuses on the remains of some of the foundations of the medieval castle that preceded the current Royal Palace. There is little to see all the more so that the whole museum is extremely poorly lit.

a special museum where you cannot find everywhere! located in the underground of the royal castle! The lights was nice as well as the brisks and museum objects. The palace wall width was amazing.

Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central

Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
