Neighborhood: Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.

A very fun activity, especially in these Corona times! Here you can go with your friends, co-workers or family members and solve an exciting mystery!
We played Grandma’s Mission 2!
The teenage boys had as much fun as we elderly!
A hint to the game leader is to take a character, preferably with special clothes. Then the score would have been 5 out of five!

We had so much fun. Twice we had to ”sacrify” one from our group but did manage to get out before time ran out. All in all a regular escape room -experience, but well arranged. Would go again!

We played the Secrets of Valhalla. There was two of us, we have played quite a lot of escape rooms before. We did escape but in the very last minute because we got stuck with one puzzle. Puzzles were logical, not too hard. The story was good. There was a lot to do, which is always nice in a room where puzzles aren't too hard. I did not like the modern equipment in a Viking room, it just doesn't fit in the story. So no points for decor. Also I have to say that our game master was distracted, he didn't even know did we "escape" on time before we told him.
So over all, not the best game we've played but still a good fun. We are satisfied.

This is only a review of the one room we did called “the cell”. Discretion regarding other rooms is advised.
Exit games as a whole:
located in central area of “Gamla Stan” it is easy to find and reach with just a few minutes of walking if you are anywhere on that island. You are let in by one of the staff upon calling them on the designated number from your phone.
You are then ushered down to the front desk, which happens to be underground where you get through winding stairs. At the base you hunch over to get through the entrance arch to not hit your head in the rock ceiling. You have now arrived at the front desk where there are a small selection of drinks, board games and some knickknacks to find. Here is also 3 restrooms. There are hooks to hang jackets and such but unfortunately no lockers so all valuables must be carried to the room.
The room:
Our game master was “Eric” who before introducing us to our rooms went over some general dos and don’t and covering the concept of the escape room.
We finally were led to our room which coincidentally happened to be back out through the low arch and halfway up the stairs where a room had been carved into the mountain covered by a robust door. Eric opened the door and showed us our room. A 1,5x1,5m (2-3sqm) room opened up to us, this would be “the cell”! At this point Eric asked us if any of us had claustrophobia. The room/cave was separated in half by a wooden partition that we had to go on either side of, one person per side. Eric then handed us each a flashlight and asked if we were ok and that he would see and be able to communicate with us the whole time, and then shut the door and left us in utter darkness! The game had begun!
This was a very fun experience and Eric was a very good game master that was very sympathetic and pedagogical. The whole outlay of the place contributed to the ambience and a very clever way of fitting a cool game place like this in the center of a tourist packed part of town.
I would recommend this place as an experience and fun time to both newbies to the escape room franchise as well as the veterans. I would come here again to do the other rooms as well.
How to book:
You can find this place through a simple google search and make your bookings online. Note: it might look like all the slots are booked but that’s for maintenance purposes. You can call the place and ask for a reservation and they’ll accommodate you.

Hi
Thanks for this comprehensive review of our small 2-person escape room. It is indeed not for people with claustrophobia. All other rooms we have are for larger groups and actually we are just now increasing our resources with an additional location in Gamla stan.

Staff were great and the escape room was good fun. The difficulty wasn't too challenging but it was still enjoyable. We'd never done an escape room before and were able to complete it within the designated time. Recommended!

Played the collector. The game was scary from time to time, but not too much. I think the personnel should have taken more time in the beginning to tell a background story and set the mood. The riddles were generally at a good level, however I think we got help too fast a few times (got out in 46 min). All in all a good experience.

Perfect game for both adults and children! Takes one hour but enough excitement for one day. Also a good way ro keep people busy who doesn't like shopping while I shop (or read e-mails).

One of the best room I have ever done. Really great, we were 3 people in the age of 28-45. I will go back and try their other rooms.

Great play and puzzle, but it was too much of the same code locks. U get somewhat tired of chasing the Numbers

Hej, är rummen anpassade för rullstol. Är spelet på svenska?

Hej. Ang språk är våra spel och spelledare alltid förberedda för både svenska och engelska. Ang rullstol är båda våra lokaler belägna i källare med trappa ner utan hissmöjlighet. Så inte rullstolsanpassat tyvärr.

We are a couple from Spain and would love to do this while we are there (11-13 Nov). As we are only Two, is there any chance to do it, maybe joining another group?
