Tickets can be purchased on the platform but also online (allows you to benefit from a reduction.) There are trains every 20 minutes. The journey lasts 18 minutes. If more than 1 travelling , select group ticket , as it works out cheaper than individual ones. Journey takes 18 minutes and was on time . Traveled from a lot of airports to a city but I have never experienced anything as fast and effective as this. You almost walk from the plane into the train and also from the taxi 25 meters and you are on the platform for the Arlanda ExpressGood morning! Fastest way into central Stockholm, travelling at 186 km ph on green electricity. Makes you feel very virtuous. Trains seem to be around every fifteen minutes and cost about £30 one way. Very easy to get to from the terminal, and also easy to buy tickets.

The Arlanda Express is the fastest way to get to Central Station. It takes 18 minutes and brings you to the heart of Stockholm. When booking your ticket at the kiosk be sure to look for the discounts if you are traveling in 2,3 or more. This will save you money over buying individual tickets.

Althought you wait for luggage at the airport you can use easy to use machines to buy tickets to Stockolm city center. €20 per passanger one way ( if you buy minimum 2 travelers) Fast and quiet. In 20 min. you reach Stockolm Central Station

The Arlanda Express does take you to the center of Stockholm in 20 minutes but it does that at a premium price. You can also use the local train, which includes a ticket for the city itself. Depending on where you need to go in Stockholm, this is the much better option.

While the trains are fresh, efficient, fast and always on time, they are also way more expensive than they should be, considering how necessary this type of service is. I usually take a taxi instead as it is faster from door to door, but if Arlanda Express was cheaper, I would probably be more inclined to use them more often. I was happy with their prices when I was a student, but now it's not reasonable anymore.

Simple review this…
Downsides: it is ridiculously expensive, effectively around 1 euro per minute of travel or even more if you’re only getting a single ticket! Hence the 4/5 rating!
Upsides: 100s of ways to get the ticket, I recommend online as you get a QR code direct to your phone/email
The train is spotless and comfortable and there’s a good amount of racking for cases etc.
The train is super fast getting up to around 185 km/h and covering the journey in just 18 minutes
The trains are super regular, as often as every 15 minutes even on weekends
There are stations at both Sets of terminals at Arlanda airport which is handy
If arriving by taxi in Stockholm there is a dedicated drop off point for the Arlanda Express which avoids the need to go through the busy main part of Stockholm Central station
Given the buses aren’t that much cheaper than this train, I’d take the Arlanda Express every time as it’s so fast, clean and spacious and a credit to Stockholm.
I would just like them to reduce the price a bit to make it more accessible to everyone and to make it a fairer price, maybe a reduction of say -20% 😊🇸🇪

Suggest to buy tickets in advance as you will get cheaper tickets , otherwise you have to pay conv. fees if you will go to offline store and buy from there. There are machines too but if you want with advance options then cheaper.

The Arlanda Express is quick, tops out at around 200 km/hr and gets from the airport to Stockholm city centre in about 18 minutes. The service is frequent too and it is very easy to find and use.
It is best to use this service with a friend or family because the more people that book together the larger the discount is. We booked as a couple and got 360 SEK off our tickets. The tickets we bought were good to use within about four months of the purchase date so we bought them about a month before we landed in Stockholm. The only issue we had is that you only get one QR code to board the train with and we were flying in from two different cities - luckily we arrived within half an hour of each other so my wife didn't have to wait long.
The train is clean and comfy with plenty of spots to sit and space to put your luggage. We would recommend booking in advance online so you can get the most discounts. We would also recommend watching their Instagram and social media pages because they will occasionally post discount codes to use on their website.

The trains are clean, fast, smooth and frequent. They have comfy seats with loads of luggage racks and over storage. The journey time is just 20 minutes from airport to Stockholm central station and the staff speak perfect English so no hassles. The only drawback - and it's a small one - is the price. It's the equivalent of about £50 per head return. But I reckon it was worth the money but some might find it a bit steep compared to the alternative of the airport coaches..

This high speed train is the best way to get into town.
It runs every 10 minutes during peak times and every 15 minutes during nonpeak times. You don’t need a reservation and there’s generally plenty of room. It takes Eugene to the station right downtown where you can walk to most of the downtown hotels. When you buy your ticket, I recommend going ahead and getting a two-way ticket.

Die On-Line Tickets sind gültig für 90 Tage (ab Kaufdatum). Ich habe die Tickets über mein Desk-Top Computer gekauft mit Hard Copy Print Out - alles eine Woche vor meiner Abreise nach Stockholm. Die Kontrolle im Zug lief problemlos.
