The Original Stockholm Ghost Walk and Historical Tour

If you think you've seen it all and heard it all in Stockholm, think again. This guided walking tour sheds new light (and a little darkness) on Stockholm's oldest neighborhood. As you follow the lantern light of your guide through the cobblestoned streets and alleyways, hear tales of ghosts, murder, and horror while getting a deeper insight into the history of Sweden's capital.

Leave the old town (Gamla Stan) behind and as an alternative to catching a ferry, take a stroll, power walk, run or scooter along the waterfront at Strandvagen to Djurgarden to see some of the many attractions this lovely city has to offer. Needless to say we took the stroll option! Look to your right and see some lovely boats moored up and look to your left to see some lovely buildings. Just a lovely place to be on a lovely day.

Strandvägen is a very high level promenade on the sea shore. It has high class hotels and on te toher side, you have the ferry and tour boat stops.

Despite the cold miserable weather we appreciated this magnificent waterfront. We walked from the old town which took us about 20 minutes, including stops to take photographs along the way. The promenade with the boats moored, tree lined with the buildings, now filled with expensive apartments is very impressive and in the summer months must be even better to see.

In good weather, take a walk from Nybroviken along Strandvägen promenade all the way to Djurgården. Enjoy the lovely buildings at the left side of the road while enjoying the sun, water and boats on the right. Possibly stop at any of the small cafés and restaurants on your way.
