Fantastic walking tour of Gamla Stan, 100% recommended

We were given a free public walking tour around the old town (Gamla Stan) of Stockholm by our wonderful guide Priyanka. She was a fact machine! Every part of the old town was covered in rich detail and with good humour and authenticity. Priyanka clearly had a passion for both life in Stockholm and for the history of Gamla Stan, and made everyone feel welcome. It's a shame she was only doing one tour that day! FWT Stockholm was also very inclusive and welcoming and would 100% recommend for anyone with a few hours in Stockholm to get a good grasp of the city, it's past and it's present.

Great insight into the city, super fun guide!

We joined the walk through the Old Town (Gamla Stan). Our guide, Alex, was really passionate and enthusiastic. We enjoyed learning about the cities past and appreciated the locations we went to. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone who's visiting or would want to learn about the city.

Stockholm Old town walking tour

Our tour guide name was Albena and the tour group was a total of 15 people. The tour lasted for almost 2 hours. The guide was very thorough in terms of her knowledge about the old town.
The tour was very fulfilling as she explained the significance of each spot or event in the complete detail. Her English was impeccable and she was open to answering all sorts of questions about the city even after the tour ended.
I would highly recommend anyone visiting Stockholm to attend this tour. You can tip the guide in Euros as well as using you card (no need to carry swedish krona).

Company confirmed booking but did not turn up

Free or not, every minute in a foreign city is precious and expensive and it is the choice of this company to provide tours with payment as tips.
I made a booking for myself and my children which was confirmed by email but the guide did not turn up. We wasted time and money getting there, and had forgone another touring opportunity. The company later explained it was because I made a “multiple booking”. There was no explanation on the website to say a booking for a family was considered a multiple booking!! The website allowed the booking and I received confirmation with instructions where and when to arrive - if the guide wasn’t coming then the confirmation should not have been given and I should have been notified. The website should not have allowed the booking for more than 1 person.
What you pay is what you get!

Winter Stockholm free walking tour

The guide (Kotryna) was pleasant, clear in speech and informative about the many aspects of old town in the short time interval that we had. She also offered additional information for folk that wanted to stay back and ask more questions. There were also recommendations for some nice places/ restaurants around stockholm to visit. All in all, worth the short intro to Gamla Stan, after which folk could go and explore by themselves.

Great free tour!

We had a great free tour in the old town of Stockholm guided by Albena. It was very interesting to get to know all it’s history and anecdotes.
Our guide Albena, was full of energy and enthusiasm while presenting us the city, and though it was quite cold by this time of the year, she made it easy and exciting.
Very recommendable!

Great Tour!!!

My visit to Stockholm was amazing specially because the great walking tours around the city. I got 2 of them. Both were excellent! The tour on Modern Stockholm is very good, the tour guide is so kind and she really enjoys helping to understand many things about the city. The Old Stockholm tour was magnificent!! Our tour guide was excellent, very informative, professional and kind. She made us spent a wonderful time around the city. Thank you so much, I absolutely recommend it! Love Stockholm!!!

"Free walking tour"

Albena was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide during my Sunday morning in Stockholm. I was the only person that joined the tour that day and Albena did a great job showing me around the modern part of the city. I'm half Swedish and I had visited the city a couple of times before, even though, Albena told me very interesting stories and anecdotes about the city and the Swedish people that I didn't know. Definitely a good experience that I would recommend to everybody!

We did the ‘old town’ tour of Stockholm. It was informative and showed the highlights of what we had read about online that we wanted to see in the city. If we had another day in Stockholm would have done the ‘new town’ tour too. Highly recommend and worth a decent donation at the end.

We did the free walking tour in Gamla Stan with Prinyanka. Priyanka was a great tour guide. She knows everything about Gamlan Stan's history with every detail. Her description traveled us through the time of 16'-17' century, the century of public executions! The free walking tour is really worthy and if you ever come and visit Stockholm , I recommend you Prinyanka as your tour guide! She's really nice and friendly!
