If there's a food hall in a place I am visiting, I go to it as I like to walk around the stalls and eat a variety of foods. The market has vendors that sell fresh fish, meat, sweets, and traditional delicacies. I had Falafel for dinner here at Beirut Cafe. It is housed in a large brick building.

Very interesting, upscale marketplace. More small restaurants than food stalls, but it was a great place to stroll and look at local foodstuffs and to have lunch. We had a nice little seafood lunch at Lisa Elmqvist. Service was very good and food delicious.

This is a lively and lovely food hall with lots of great options. We went on New Year’s Eve and it was extremely busy but worth the wait for a delicious seafood meal at Lisa Elmqvist. Well worth a visit if you gave a few days in Stockholm.

Östermalms Saluhall / Marketplace Every city we always make the market/food hall one of our very first stops to visit! Today after the cultural exposure at the Vasa museum, it was the Östermalm’s Saluhall! Lauded as one of the top 10 destinations when in Stockholm, it did not disappoint! From the variety of fresh produce, to the ever present selection of the freshest Seafood, amazing meat cuts and especially interesting the take away ready meals, the variety was just simply outstanding! Obviously since we choose to stay in Apartments rather the hotels, (after 50 years associated with hotels, enough) we enjoyed the shopping experience from various stalls/sellers who all spoke excellent English, were very professional and knowledgeable, something we often miss even back home! And the products we took home were of superb quality! It was a day we’ll spend and we can’t wait for the next day’s experience! There weren’t many people around when we went (about mid morning on a Thursday). No idea if that is typical but it gave it a wonderfully serene charm. Great looking produce in a fantastic building, this really is a must do activity. It provides a welcome break from the sun outside.

Even if you don’t intend to shop for food or have a meal at one of the restaurants, the 1888 covered food market on Östermalmstorg is well worth a visit. Its architects, Isak Gustaf Clason and Kasper Salin, have clearly been inspired by the red brick architecture of Northern Germany and French cast-iron constructions. The market has been extensively renovated between 2016 and 2020. The original features have been lovingly restored, and two balconies have been added to accommodate more people. Add to this the yummy (but rather pricey) food on display, and it is obvious Östermalms Saluhall is a feast for the eye and the palate.

Always a good idea to go to the food market in town, and this one did not disappoint. It's covered so OK in bad weather. We saw the summer produce on display and some very interesting products. Fun to explore and shop.

I went here three times, solo for dinner, with my mom for lunch and with a friend for a snack. It is pricey, though I still recommend checking it out, even if you just walk through. The food is good at several different restaurants. Is it worth the price? Maybe, I am not convinced.

Nice large building with many different stalls with various choices of food to take away or eat there. The places to sit down and eat were really crowded and the original place I stopped for a moose burger was so busy and couldn’t ever get service left and went somewhere else. Good place to visit to get out of the ran or weather. Depending on when you go it may be crowded. I went around 10am and was full.

I stopped here for lunch with my husband and parents while visiting Stockholm. What a delightful market! We had lunch in a restaurant, local dishes which were delicious. We then strolled around the stalls and bought some cheese to go! Definitely recommended for any foodies.
