Unfortunately the market is currently under renovation but they still moved some of the stands to a temporary location across the street. Perfect place to taste some excellent salmon or seafood over lunch and do some food shopping.
The Östermalm Saluhall is located Östermalm in the center of Stockholm. It is about ten minutes walk from the city center. It first opened in 1888 and you can find many restaurants and cafés and it specializes traditional Swedish cuisine. It’s under construction until 2019...More
This 130-year old market hall is under renovation and there is a temporary hall built at Östermalmstorg.

Although the Saluhall is undergoing renovation, from past trips, I know it's definitely a culinary paradise not yo be missed. Gamla Stan is about a half hour walk away where the restaurants and cafés lining it's quaint streets makes you happy you came to Stockholm.
Although the market is currently under reconstruction there’s a temporary smaller version in front of it. The place is nice and has a good variety of food. Stop here for a lunch or a coffee to escape from the cold December weather.
The original market hall is currently under construction but yesterday we were happy we could try a smaller version which is just in front of the original one. It was not very big but the offer is still great and it is perfect for lunch...More
With its high-end shopping facilities and Michelin-starred restaurants, Östermalm is definitely the poshest part of central Stockholm. Here you will find Stockholm’s most majestic residential buildings, a beautiful market hall from 1888 displaying gourmet foods from around the world and the Swedish Royal Dramatic Theatre with its awe-inspiring architecture. At night, legendary nightclubs make the perfect
location to observe the natives (and those aspiring to become natives of this exclusive neighborhood) in their natural habitat and to enjoy the latest produce of the Swedish house music scene.
